Di Mingjue sat down leisurely, picking up a pen and paper to doodle. It suddenly occurred to Gu Qibao that Di Mingjue could paint!
Quite a few wandering artists would sit in front of cafes and paint, with the high-profile customers often feigning sophistication by purchasing the paintings.
Even if Di Mingjue couldn’t paint, with his handsome appearance, he only needed to sit at the entrance and slightly lift his long legs. Surely, that would peak the interest of many.
As expected, a stylishly dressed man and woman arm in arm were approaching, seemingly about to indulge in some coffee shop delights.
The woman spotted Di Mingjue and stopped, excitedly asking if he was indeed painting.
Di Mingjue nodded coldly in response.
After a brief negotiation, Di Mingjue picked up his pen once again, instructing the couple to stand nearby as models while he intermittently glanced up at them.
Gu Qibao’s eyes widened. Di Mingjue was a fast painter! His strokes were akin to divine inspiration, revealing a solid foundation in art.
Within approximately ten minutes, he completed a simple yet vivid masterpiece.
The couple was immensely pleased, giving Di Mingjue a hundred yuan before heading into the café.
Gu Qibao held up the money in wonder, "To think that a painting by the esteemed third young master Di is worth no more than a hundred yuan!"
Yet in reality, it was incredible to have earned a hundred yuan in ten minutes!
Di Mingjue packed away his paper and pen, standing up, "Alright, no more painting."
"No more?" Gu Qibao asked in confusion, "But you only earned a hundred yuan. That’s not enough!"
"Aren’t you a silly one." Di Mingjue knocks her on the head, "If we’re depending on my painting skills to provide for you, we won’t see profit for a long time. I merely indulged your whims. Don’t act coy now that you’ve got your way."
