As for my older brother, huh, probably only a ghost could figure out what he was thinking.
Although Di Mingzhe strode forward without glancing elsewhere, he could feel that Di Xiaxia’s gaze remained fixedly on his face.
For some reason, he couldn’t help but the corners of his mouth lifted slightly into a smirk.
Without turning his head, he asked, "Do you like what you see?"
Di Xiaxia, who was engrossed in observing him, was suddenly startled and her reaction immediately sent her feeling embarrassed to the Pacific Ocean.
Unconsciously, she murmured, "What on earth? Does he have eyes all over his face? How could he know that!"
Embarrassed to the point of speechlessness, Di Xiaxia managed to stutter out in response, "Alright."
Di Mingzhe lifted Di Xiaxia into the car. His low-profile, luxury, extended Lincoln started up slowly.
After getting into the vehicle, Di Mingzhe merely set her aside, without paying her any attention, and appeared to be working on his tablet.
With no choice, Di Xiaxia took out her phone silently and began playing a game.
One of them was working, and the other was engrossed in a game. Neither interfered with the other and both didn’t speak, making for an unexpectedly harmonious atmosphere.
When they arrived at the Vice Presidential Residence, Di Mingzhe lifted her from the car. Di Xiaxia had never been to the Vice Presidential Residence. Despite mentally preparing herself, she was still startled by its opulence and tight security.
As soon as Di Mingzhe exited the car, a butler garbed in tails, accompanied by two armed guards, immediately came forward and bowed deeply, "Sir, you have returned."
"Hmm," was Di Mingzhe’s casual response. He gave a slight nod, "This is Miss Xiaxia. From now on, she will be living here. Everything concerning her is to be treated as it would be for me, no difference. We will be sharing meals and accommodations together. You may make the necessary arrangements."
"Yes!" The butler gave a respectful nod without asking any further questions.
