Mingzhe Di didn’t answer, only chuckled indistinctly, gracefully issuing a single word command, "Sit."
The two appeared to be well acquainted with each other, so familiar that, despite their politeness, there was no distance between them at all, almost as if they were old friends.
Di Xiaxia watched their back-and-forth, and unwittingly forgot to move her feet until the butler urged her, "Miss Di, please proceed."
Only then did Lingling Dan notice Di Xiaxia. She looked up at her, a spark of astonishment briefly crossed her eyes before resuming calm.
"Who is this?" She looked towards Mingzhe Di, inquiring with grace.
"My younger sister." Mingzhe Di responded lightly without hesitation.
Lingling Dan chuckled, stood up, in her slender high heels, her legs were quite beautiful. She took a few steps forward, examining Di Xiaxia from head to toe, her lips curved playfully, "So, you are Mister Di’s sister. You must be the sick person my father mentioned."
Di Xiaxia was startled, not quite understanding Lingling Dan’s remark. What did she mean by the sick person?
"Yes." Mingzhe Di interjected, looking at Di Xiaxia, and said calmly, "Xiaxia, this is the daughter of the President, Lingling Dan."
"Oh." Di Xiaxia nodded, hastily extended her hand, "Nice to meet you, Miss Dan."
Seeing the bruise on Di Xiaxia’s fair wrist, Lingling Dan paused, but soon unveiled a smile and reached out in return, "Nice to meet you too, Miss Di. I’m not only the President’s daughter but also Mingzhe’s junior sister."
After saying that, she turned and smiled at Mingzhe Di. There was an indescribable charm in her glance.
Di Xiaxia was once again slightly taken aback. A feeling of discomfort arose in her heart. She managed a strained smile, withdrew her hand and said a bit awkwardly, "Then you two can carry on. I’m going upstairs."
Having said that, she hastily walked away.
Lingling Dan raised her eyebrows, withdrew her hand and asked curiously, "How did Mister Di’s sister get injured like this? Did she encounter some violence?"
Mingzhe Di paused before finally lowering his gaze, "Something like that."
