Driven by alcohol and overwhelming grievances, Di Xiaxia finally erupted.
She wept in pain, sobbing, "He, he refuses to even give me a chance to speak. He barely even wants to see me. Can you imagine it? Do you know how it feels when he rejects someone? The cold indifference on his face and in his eyes—you, you can’t bear to say another word to him."
Di Xiaxia’s eyes reddened further as she spoke, appearing exceptionally pitiful. Gagged by her tears, she went on, "You can’t possibly understand what it feels like. After Brother Three got married, I had no heart left for it. I just wanted to be left alone or try to find a reliable boyfriend to distract myself. I never expected him to barge into my life."
We had absolutely no overlap before. He sat so high above, looking at everything with disdain, even looking at me with disgust. So, I didn’t believe it. He kissed me out of the blue, making me dizzy and told me not to take it to heart. How could I not take it to heart?"
"All that aside! He schemed to ’live together’ with me, even shared the same bed with me. I was fed up with him for bullying me like this. I argued with him, and he pushed me down the stairs. I was utterly dazed, do you understand?"
"I was bullied so badly without even understanding why! But I didn’t hold it against him. I maintained the kindness that developed over the past twenty years. I just wanted to walk far away, to avoid him. But later on, he told me that he had loved me for twenty years and sweet-talked me with lots of lovely words."
"He made many promises, like letting him love me and waiting for me to love him. Then, everything was so confusing, do you understand?"
Saying this, Di Xiaxia quickly looked at everyone, and they hurriedly nodded.
"But he almost forced himself on me and almost crushed my wrist! At that time, I was really scared of him. But the next morning, when I went downstairs and saw Brother Three, I felt like everything suddenly made sense. I told him I wanted to talk to him. Do you know? When I said I wanted to talk to him, I was going to tell him that I wanted to give us a chance."
"But he kept refusing to talk to me! Then I didn’t care anymore. I just thought we would naturally end up together."
"When we returned to the Presidential Residence, he said he wanted me to move to a different place. I felt that something was off at the time, but then the president’s daughter came, and I didn’t get a chance to talk to him. I went to his room, saw his computer, and there were so many photos of me on there. I was moved, so very moved."
