But, she was unsure.
And because she was unsure, she dare not move forward.
Di Xiaxia turned her head, unable to fully hide the tears welling up in her eyes. Simmering anger mixed with humiliation was evident as she glared at him, "Who do you think you are?"
The atmosphere instantly grew awkward.
Di Mingzhe’s dark eyebrows furrowed together. At sight of her condition, his heart ached, yet her words began to infuriate him.
"I’m your older brother." He suppressed the anger in his heart, maintaining composure on his face. He reminded himself she didn’t like it when he got angry or unpredictably moody, thus he couldn’t vent his anger on her.
As Di Mingzhe spoke, he tried to snatch the beer bottle from Di Xiaxia’s hand. After taking a deep breath, he lowered his voice, "Stop drinking, just go home with me."
Di Xiaxia, however, held onto the bottle, her eyes filled with defiance as she stared at him, as if trying to pierce a hole in his face. After a pause, she responded, "What’s it to you?"
With that, she yanked the bottle back, the force causing some beer to spill out onto Di Mingzhe’s hand and body.
Gu Qibao was instantly stunned. Damn, Sister Xiaxia was so badass! She had just told Di Mingzhe to mind his own business!
What was to follow, a beat down? Gu Qibao was a little worried.
As expected, Di Mingzhe’s face instantly darkened and his tone became chilly, "How are you talking, Di Xiaxia?"
Di Xiaxia retorted, "I’m speaking exactly how I want. If you’re unhappy, then leave. No one invited you here."
Scared, Gu Qibao anxiously tightened her grip on Nangong Ran’s hand, "Oh my God, Ranran, my heart’s racing! Should we step in?"
