Di Jinxuan blinked, suddenly finding Di Xiaxia’s words reasonable and was at a loss for a rebuttal.
"Fine," Di Jinxuan conceded, "you’re great, both my daughter and daughter-in-law listen to you. What else can I say?"
After saying that, she flopped onto the bed, feigning torment and despair.
Seeing this, Di Xiaxia pursed her lips, leaned in and asked, "What’s wrong, Xuanxuan? You don’t seem in a good mood. Who upset our esteemed Fifth Miss?"
"Hmph," Di Jinxuan groaned and waved her hand dismissively. "It’s nothing, just been bit by a dog."
"Dog?" Di Xiaxia blinked in confusion. "What do you mean? Did you just have a fight with someone? Who was it?"
"It’s fine," Di Jinxuan replied, turning onto her side, smiling. "It’s all in the past. Let’s not talk about it."
Now Di Xiaxia was curious and couldn’t help asking, "Come on, tell me! Let’s have a chat about our lives and dreams together."
Di Jinxuan grimaced, "Nah, you should go and chat with my elder brother. I would rather rewatch my favorite TV shows."
With that, she started watching TV. Di Xiaxia sensed something unusual about her, but she couldn’t quite put her finger on it. Seeing her as she was, Di Xiaxia decided not to push anymore.
So, she gave up trying to probe further.
She lay next to Jinxuan, watching TV together, munching on snacks and chatting sporadically.
Out of boredom, Di Xiaxia took out her phone, opened a chat app, and unexpectedly, stumbled upon a status update by Di Jinxuan which was just a single sentence.
