Her father possessed a rugged, muscular frame, yet dressed her hair with delicate skill. Tying her hairbar tight, he smiled softly, “Where does my little Ella fancy playing today?”

She caught sight of her mother standing nearby. Usually distant and strict, when Ella tumbled off a horse back then, her mother scolded her reckless antics while frantically summoning every physician in town overnight.
