Chapter 84 Drive
WILLOW
“You?” I asked, raising a brow.
Tristan leaned back slightly in his seat, looking confident.

“Yes, me. I know how to drive–exceptionally well, perhaps. You always seem comfortable whenever I drive.”
I narrowed my eyes at him, but there was a hint of amusement tugging at my lips.
“You’re doing this for free?” I asked.
He chuckled, throwing his head back slightly. “A kiss as a payment would be nice.”
I pursed my lips and puffed air into my cheeks to hold back a smile. “But I thought you didn’t want me to kiss you again?”
“If it’s payment, then I might just accept it,” he responded. “Fuel is pretty expensive nowadays.”
I smiled and shook my head.
“Fine,” I said right after. “But if I crash your car, that’s on you.”
“It won’t happen,” he replied easily.
“That’s a lot of confidence. ”
“It’s called trust.”
I rolled my eyes.
“Don’t regret it.”
“I won’t.”
Fortunately, the street where our houses lay was quiet at this moment. It was always quiet, but during these times, not a single car passed by.
I stood beside the car, staring at it for a while.
“Well?” Tristan said, walking around to the driver’s side.
I crossed my arms.
“I don’t know what to do.”
He opened the door and looked at me.

Flushed
“That’s why I’m here.”
I hesitated for a second longer before finally stepping forward and slipping into the driver’s seat.
The moment I sat down, I felt the weight of responsibility on my shoulders.
I swallowed.
Tristan walked around and slid into the passenger seat.
“Relax,” he said, already sensing my nervousness,
“I am relaxed.”
“You’re gripping the wheel too tightly.”
I glanced down.
My fingers were wrapped tightly around the steering wheel. I forced myself to loosen them.
“I’ve never done this before,” I admitted.
“It’s okay.”
I exhaled slowly.
“You’ve also never had sex before,” he added casually.
My head snapped toward him.
“But you’re good at it,” he continued, completely unfazed. “Who knows? You might be a natural at driving,
too.”
“Shut up,” I muttered, my face heating up.
He chuckled.
“Start the engine.”
I did so out of embarrassment that he was going to lead the conversation down that route. The sound of the engine, though quiet, filled the street, and my heart began to beat just a little faster.
“Now,” he said, his voice calm. “Gently press the gas.”
I nodded and did what he told me.
But instead of gently, I pressed too hard.
The car lurched forward abruptly, making me gasp and step on the brakes.
The car stopped, and silence filled the space.

My heart was pounding.
“That was scary.” I said, letting out a shaky breath.
Tristan looked at me for a moment and smiled.
“See?” he said. “We’re still alive.”
Something in my chest fluttered.
I looked away quickly,
“I almost killed us.”
“You barely moved.”
“That was still terrifying.”
He chuckled quietly.
Then, without warning, he unbuckled his seatbelt.
I frowned slightly.
“What are you—”
Before I could finish, he shifted closer.
My breath caught.
“Move,” he said gently.
“What?”
“Move.”
My brain lagged behind as I scooted slightly to the side.
Then suddenly, he pulled me close to him until I was sitting on his lap.
My breath hitched.
The world narrowed instantly.
The space inside the car suddenly felt too small.
“What are you doing?” I asked, my voice coming out softer than I intended.
“Teaching you,” he replied.
His arms came around me, one hand reaching for the steering wheel, the other hovering near mine.
“Just focus on pressing the gas,” he said.

He leaned in slightly.
His breath brushed against my ear.
“Slowly.”
I swallowed.
I don’t think I can focus on that–not when he was this close.
I could feel the steady rise and fall of his chest against my back. His hands were guiding mine so gently that it sent shivers down my spine. Every small movement from him felt amplified.
“That’s right,” he murmured.
My fingers tightened slightly on the wheel as I tried to follow his instructions.
