Party Time

I’m feeling so nervous–I can sense my mate nearby.

“I can’t wait to meet her,” I tell my best friends, Tristan and Paxton.

They both nod and reply, “Yeah man, I know exactly what you mean. I can feel my mate’s presence too.”

This is the moment we’ve all been anticipating.

The three of us made a pact to save ourselves for our mates–not all of us are womanizers like Cassian.

Honestly, I pity whoever ends up as his mate. Maybe it’s my scandalous sister, Selene.

They’d actually make the perfect match. I do love my sister, but she’s nothing like Skyla.

Alright, here goes nothing.

Time to walk into the ballroom.

As soon as the doors swing open, my eyes go wide for two reasons.

First, I’ve never seen Skyla look more stunning–she’s absolutely breathtaking.

Second, I must be the luckiest wolf alive, because standing right beside her is my beautiful mate–Skyla’s

best friend, Alexia.

I’ve always had a crush on her, and now I know–I already love her.

At the same time, we softly whisper, “Mate,” and close the distance between us.

I kiss her deeply, not caring that I now have her red lipstick smeared on my lips.

I can’t wait to hold her close.

Skyla beams at us, grinning from ear to ear, saying how thrilled she is that her best friend will be the Luna of

our pack.

I glance over to see Tristan with his arm around Veronica, while Paxton is locked in a passionate kiss with

Eliza.

Savannah is standing beside her mate.
