Chapter15

Skyla’s POV

All the guests had arrived.

Isadora was absolutely over the moon.

She couldn’t stop talking about how excited she was for grandchildren.

I hadn’t even told Julian yet, but she would be getting; her wish sooner than she expected.

While Julian was tied up in a meeting, I visited the pack doctor and found out we were expecting triplets.

The coronation had concluded, and now we were heading to the dinner and dance.

Julian and I stood at the ballroom entrance, waiting to be announced.

As the doors swung open, I heard my fatherinlaw’s voice proclaim, I now present to you, King Julian and Queen Skyla Wexler!

The crowd erupted in applause and cheers.

My parents, along with Sebastian and Alexia, came over and wrapped me in a warm embrace.

They told me how stunning I looked and how proud they were of me.

Looking around, I spotted Cassian and Seleneand they both looked terrible.

Before I could process what was happening, Cassian was suddenly behind me, pressing a silver knife with a rubber handledesigned not to burn his handagainst my throat.

My eyes locked with Julian’s, now glowing golden as Rig fully took control and called out to my wolf, Mia.

My own eyes shifted to gold, flames of golden light swirling and engulfing Cassian, burning him to

nothing.

What could have been a beautiful night was almost ruined by Cassian’s madness.

It seemed he lost control when he couldn’t accept me finding a second chance mate.

That night, my sister vanished, and we have not seen her since.

Later, after the chaos had settled, Julian and I soaked in the jacuzzi, my back pressed against his

chest.

He leaned close, kissed my neck, and whispered, I hear multiple heartbeats, my love.

I turned to straddle him and smiled, Those are the heartbeats of your son and two daughters.

That night was filled with so much love and passionI will never forget it.

I loved my King, and my King loved me.

To Cassian, I was nothing but trash, but Julian had proven, in every way possible, that I was his

greatest treasure.
