Margaret Tucker AKA Lord Reaper novel Chapter 127

Jose was still hesitating.

But Michelle couldn't wait any longer. She pouted and begged her parents, "Mom, Dad, give them the one billion! I don't wanna see all that trash about me on Twitter anymore!"

Gerald really doted on his daughter. Unable to bear her suffering, he gave in. "Jose, pay them. Leaving all that dirt on Michelle hanging out online ain't gonna fly forever."

Jose had wanted to argue, but when he heard his father's words, he held back.

He had no choice but to agree. "Fine, I'll do it."

"Haha, thank you, Mr. Miller! You're truly generous!" the voice on the phone mocked.

Jose's face went red and white in quick succession as he listened to that sarcastic tone.

He was the proud CEO of Miller Group, a rising star in the business world. And yet, he'd just been extorted like this!

Humiliation!

At Tucker Villa, Matthew also received the call.

The caller claimed to be from the Hacker Alliance, saying they could take down the online dirt—but it would cost him a sum of money.

"What? You want one billion? Why don't you just go hold up a bank already?!" Matthew shouted.

At first, Matthew had been happy when he heard they'd take down the trending topics for money. After all, anything that could be solved with money wasn't a real problem.

But when he heard the outrageous demand for one billion, he lost it completely!!

One billion? The Hacker Alliance really has the nerve to ask for the moon!

The voice on the phone was tough, sounding just like a gangster. "I thought you were rich. Turns out you can't even come up with one billion. Our boss said—if you don't pay up, Clara's dirt will stay online forever, front and center. She'll never shake off this shadow for the rest of her life."

When Clara heard that, her face turned deathly pale.

If her dirt stayed online forever, especially on the trending lists—she'd never be able to hold her head up again.

Let alone make it into the entertainment industry.

She looked at Matthew with hopeful eyes. "Dad, help me..."

But Matthew's face was dark. He acted as if he hadn't seen her plea.

Clearly, Matthew didn't want to spend that much money on Clara.

Matthew's indifference made Clara's heart sink, filling her with panic.

Her dad, who'd always doted on her the most, refused to pay for her...

"Mom, help me," she begged, turning to Nichole with tears in her eyes.

"Awesome! You're straight-up legendary! That's so damn generous!"

"That's two billion! You're just giving it away?"

Margaret typed calmly, telling the truth, "This chump change? I don't care about it."

The group went silent again.

After a long pause, CodeMaster texted, "I'll take down all the dirt on Clara and Michelle online right away."

Margaret typed back, "Why would we take it down?"

"Didn't they pay up already?"

"No need. Leave everything as is. Isn't getting two billion for free way better?"

The group fell silent once more.

That's GOAT—cold-blooded as hell!

She plays them like a fiddle! Total genius move!

They could already picture the look on their faces—shelling out all that cash, only to find the dirt still plastered all over the internet and the trending topics not shifting an inch. That sight? Priceless.
