Ted's face was thunderous. He snapped at his right-hand man, "Go hit up the hitman crew we usually work with. Tell them to send guys to take out those lowlifes from the Noren family—leave no one breathing. And grab the video off her."
The assistant nodded sharply. "Yes, sir."
As a Cabinet member of Karemin, Ted had no qualms about dealing with hitman organizations. Over the years, he'd used them to wipe out political foes, clearing his path to the top.
The assistant took a couple steps, then turned back. "Mr. Lorenzo, what rank of hitmen should I ask for?"
Hitmen had ranks—from D to S, then the scary SSS, and the mythical, one-of-a-kind SSSSS!
Each rank came with a different price, and they went after different targets.
Ted waved it off like it was nothing. "Tell 'em to send two B-rank hitmen. They're just a bunch of helpless scrubs—no need to sweat it."
"Yes, sir. I'll get on it right away."
The assistant left.

Night kept getting darker.
In the narrow alley deep in the ghetto, the only sounds were the occasional dog bark. Other than that, it was eerily quiet—creepy as hell.
No one would've guessed that way up in the 33-foot-tall tree, a girl was glued to her phone playing a game.
Her long fingers flew across the screen, moving so fast they looked like they were dancing.
Notifications popped up nonstop on the screen.
"Double Kill!
"Triple Kill!
"Quadra Kill!
"Penta Kill!"
The other nine players in the game were blown away by her insane skills.
They typed like maniacs.
"Pro! So fire!!"
"Dude, when I saw her going 1v5, I thought she was trolling. Never thought she'd clap all five enemies!"
"Is this her fifth Penta Kill this match?"
"Pro, carry me please!"
"Freaking insane!!"
The other players were hyped up out of their minds by her sick plays.
When the game ended, Margaret closed the app, looking kinda bored. Her face was totally calm—her crazy performance hadn't even made her blink.
This game is way too easy.
Real life's way more fun...
Margaret's eyes darkened as she stared down the alley. Finally, a flicker of something crossed her gaze.
They're here!
Margaret had popped out of nowhere—no sound, no warning, like a ghost!
That's why the two hitmen were petrified!
They were B-rank hitmen, with Mortal-tier cultivation. Their hearing was way sharper than a regular person's. Normally, they could hear someone coming from over ten yards away in a heartbeat!
But she had snuck up on them without a peep!
The only way that could happen was if her fighting skills were way above theirs!!
Could she be Earth-tier?
Or even Heaven-tier?!
Terror!!
Just thinking about that made their bodies lock up!
They never thought taking such a simple job would land them face-to-face with someone this powerful.
They'd figured this job would be just like any other—wiping out defenseless targets in no time!
Once, they'd taken out an entire family of five—two adults and three kids under ten—in just 30 seconds!
"Kill her!"
The two guys locked eyes, seeing the fear in each other's faces. But they quickly pulled it together, their eyes turning cold and deadly with killing intent!
No matter how strong this girl was, she had no weapons on her right now, and she looked so relaxed—like she didn't even see them as a threat.
