"Really?"
Andrew lied straight-faced, his expression dead serious. "Yeah."
Margaret said, "Sweet. Andrew, hurry up and log in. Let's team up. I just need three more stars to be number one in the region."
"My game ID's 'Reaper'. Add me later. I'm hanging up now—we'll use in-game voice once we start."
Margaret hung up without hesitation.
Staring at the dead call, Andrew was fuming, his face dark as night.
He turned to Walter next to him, his tone cold and snappy—total night and day from how he'd sounded with Margaret on the phone.
He asked, "What the hell is Ember of Kings? How do I download it?"
Walter was speechless.
Dude, didn't you just say you knew how to play this thing?
Walter took Andrew's phone. "Ahem... Andrew, let me handle the download for you..."
The internet was lightning fast. The game installer finished downloading in less than a minute.
Logging in, Walter logged into his max-level account—full runes, all skins, a V18 top-tier account.
His ID was "Handsome Walter."
Andrew frowned at the name, his voice icy. "Change it."
Walter shrank back.
Even though it killed him to give up his account, he didn't dare protest. He forced a nod. "Andrew, what do you want to change it to?"
Andrew thought for a split second. "Margaret Loves Andrew!"
Walter was lost for words.
When Walter hesitated, Andrew frowned, his gaze turning deadly. "What's the hold-up? Got an issue?"
Scared out of his mind, Walter shook his head like a rattle. "No issue at all, Andrew! It's an awesome name! Ms. Tucker will totally love it!"
He silently used a name change card.
Goodbye, my account.
Once the name was changed, Andrew wasted no time adding Margaret's game account.
His ID was impossible to miss. Margaret saw it and accepted the request right away.
Margaret checked his rank—Glory King, 95 stars!
She was a little surprised.
She'd never expected Andrew to be such a good gamer—she'd always thought someone with his personality would never even touch a game like this.
She sent him an invite right away.
