Her laugh faded fast. She seemed to remember something and leaned forward. “Wait, what’d you say that gang’s name is again?”
Rickie answered honestly, “It’s the Black Dragon Gang!”
He secretly admired her guts.
In Capaville, people practically ran for the hills when someone mentioned the Black Dragon Gang. Only someone like Margaret would joke about ’em.
“Boss, they popped up four years ago. Grew like wildfire-swallowed every small gang in Capaville in no time.
“They got five top guys-called the Five Kings. Each ones a total badass and can take on a hundred men alone. These four years, they’ve crushed anyone in the gang’s way. Nothing stops ’em.”
His face lit up with awe as he talked.
But Margaret’s expression had turned awkward. Oh right-she remembered now.
The gang
she’d started in Karemin? It was called the Black Dragon Gang. And she’d definitely taken in five underlings back then.
Surprise hit her.
That little side project shachure Supppl
tossed together-now it was Karemin’s biggest gang. And those five guys had
become the famous Five Kings.
But maybe it shouldn’t shock her. She’d met the five on the streets, homeless and struggling.
But when she’d taught them how to fight, she’d seen their potential. They were rare talents-bound to make it big.
Their current success? They didn’t let her down.
Come to think of it, those five were basically her students.
While she zoned out, Rickie kept going. “Boss, the weirdest thing about ’em? Their leader’s a total mystery. Rumor says he founded the gang, but no one’s ever seen him. But the Five Kings? They talk about him like he’s a god-super respectful.”
Margaret snapped back. Her face was calm. “Yeah, I get. Scram, all of you.”
Rickie’s eyes went wide. “The Black Dragon Gang’s no joke! Ruby’s uncle’s just a branch leader, but we’re just students-we can’t mess with ’em!”
Their families had money, sure. But money didn’t equal power. They still feared the gangs.
Just then, a guy came sprinting over. “Boss! I snuck a look at the abandoned factory. There are thirty-odd guys in black there! All Black Dragon Gang members, and they’re packing weapons!”
Rickie paled. “Crap! Ruby’s out of her mind! She called his many people?”

He turned to Margaret, panic written all over his face. “Boss, you gotta leave! There are too many of ’em. Even the strongest can’t fight 30 guys at once–especially with weapons!”
Margaret lost her patience. She snapped, “Enough! Do what I say-get as far away as possible. You’ll only slow me down.”
Everyone went quiet.
Her voice was sharp, full of authority. The guys from her class froze-she sounded like a queen issuing an order, impossible to defy.
Margaret didn’t waste another word.
The rain kept falling as she walked toward the factory alone, umbrella in hand, like she was out for a casual
stroll.
The guys watched her back. For some crazy reason, they all thought she could take down 30 men by herself.
It was a wild thought-but Margaret made it feel real. That unshakable confidence oozed from every pore.
The abandoned factory sat on a small hill near the school.
A few minutes later, Margaret reached the foot of the hill, umbrella still up.
Her steps looked slow, relaxed-like she was wandering–but she moved fast.
Inside the factory, a crowd of men in black stood around, making the place look intimidating.
Ruby kept glancing at the square outside, impatient.
“Ms. Leslie, a girl with an umbrella’s coming this way,” a gang member reported.
Ruby’s eyes turned mean. She spat on the ground. “Damn, this hick actually showed up! I’m gonna kill her here today!”
Outside the factory, Margaret finally reached the halfway point up the hill. She stopped, squinting at the group of men in black ahead.
Her face stayed calm-no fear, no surprise. She just held her umbrella and walked toward the factory.
As she passed, the gang members split apart automatically, making a path for her. They stared at the stunning girl, totally confused.
