Chapter 60 Unexpected Gifts
Margaret paid no attention to him and kept eating.
Putting other things aside, the food at Tucker Villa actually suited her taste.
“Margaret! Do you even see me as your dad?”

Matthew felt humiliated that he couldn’t get Margaret to move even after calling her repeatedly. His face turned dark and ashen.
“What do you want?”
Margaret set down her spoon and wiped her lips with a tissue before finally turning her gaze to the two men from the Black Dragon Gang.
At her words, the two men dropped to one knee in the gang’s traditional salute, their attitude respectful. “Ms. Tucker, we’re here on the Five Kings’ orders to apologize to you.”
Matthew, Nichole, and Clara were all stunned as they watched the two men apologizing to Margaret.
What is going on here?
The Black Dragon Gang, the most powerful gang around, has actually sent people to apologize to Margaret?
And they’re sent by the Five Kings!
Everyone in Capaville knows that each of the Five Kings is a fearsome, formidable figure.
How could they send someone to apologize to a girl?
Besides being stunned, Matthew’s face burned like invisible hands were slapping him repeatedly.
He stared intently at Margaret. He realized he understood this daughter less and less.
How did she even know people from the Black Dragon Gang?
“Ms. Tucker, these are gifts from the Five Kings,” the two men said as they stood up and handed their briefcases to her.
The two black code-locked cases-one long, one short-held unknown contents.
Margaret took the cases and nodded. “Hmm, they’re thoughtful.”
“Then we’ll take our leave, Ms. Tucker,” the two men said respectfully.
“Go.”
Only after getting Margaret’s approval did the two men urn and leave.
Matthew finally came to his senses once they were gone. He let out a sigh of relief, then his eyes fixed on the two briefcases in Margaret’s hands, greed gleaming in his gaze.
“What’s inside?”
Anything from the Five Kings had to be valuable.

Margaret caught the greed in his eyes and curled her lips into a mocking smile. “Why? You want them?”
For some reason, under Margaret’s gaze, Matthew felt utterly ill at ease. He was actually afraid of her stare.
“If you want them, take them,” Margaret said, holding the cases out to him, her expression casual and her eyes filled with arrogance.
Matthew’s heart stirred with desire.
Then Margaret added lightly, “Choose between these two cases and your life.”
Matthew’s outstretched hand froze mid-air. He didn’t dare touch the cases anymore.
“Such a coward, yet you still dream of snatching back control of the Tucker family from Edward? What a pipe dream!”
Margaret turned and walked away, her arrogant laughter echoing through the living room.
Matthew’s face turned pitch black. Margaret’s words hit him like slaps across the face.
Margaret carried the two briefcases back to her room. She set them on the desk and first opened the square
one.
Inside lay a silver revolver-an out-of-print model on the market-along with several hundred rounds of custom ammunition.
She then opened the rectangular case. Inside was a black sniper rifle, complete with a scope and silencer.
This was the best sniper rifle available in terms of range and stability, costing around 260,000 dollars.
Margaret picked up the revolver and twirled it in her hand. A look of satisfaction flashed across her eyes.
Those guys actually have a conscience-they remember what like.
When she’d texted them earlier, she’d worried they might have forgotten her after all this time.
She’d always worn a mask when she’d hung out with them before, so meeting them now as Margaret posed no problem.
The sniper rifle in the case was disassembled. The moment Margaret’s fingers touched the parts, she put the entire rifle together in just a few seconds.
As the King of Assassins, assembling and using guns was second nature to her.
She’d always loved collecting various firearms; she was drawn to these cold, life-ending weapons.
Margaret picked up the sniper rifle with one hand, walked to the window, and casually propped it up on the sill.
She looked through the scope.
Clara’s figure appeared in the crosshairs, with the red dot centered directly on her head.
If she pulled the trigger now, the high-penetration bullet would blow Clara’s head apart.

At that very moment, Clara was standing by her window For some reason, she suddenly felt a wave of panic -as if Death itself had set its sights on her.
She glanced outside. It was pitch black, and she saw nothing.
Clara grabbed her phone, her expression vicious as she made a call. “Hello? It’s me.”
