Chapter 62 Sniper in the Dark
A burly man slammed his fist on the table and roared at the kids, “Shut up, you brats! One more peep, and I’ll chop off your hands and feet!”
The children were terrified. They huddled together, trembling and sniffling quietly, too scared to cry out loud.
The burly man finally relaxed when the noise stopped. He turned to a younger man, his eyes greedy. “Boss, can we get a few million for this batch of goods?”
The young man had short hair and a menacing aura. He wore an eye patch-he was one-eyed.
He took a sip of wine. “Don’t worry. Stick with me, and you’ll be living like a king in no time.”
He paused, then added, “There’s a big job tomorrow-kill a girl. We’ll get a million if we pull it off.”
“Leave it to us, Boss!” The men patted their chests, unconcerned.
“Good,” the one-eyed man said. “After we kill her tomorrow, we’ll ship this batch abroad. We’ll lie low there for a while. Karemin’s authorities have been on our tails lately.”
“Whatever you say, Boss! Before you showed up, we were just trafficking women-scraping by. We never made this kind of money.” The tough-looking men nodded vigorously.
The one-eyed man had become their boss recently. He was a professional hitman.
“C’mon, keep drinking!”
“After this job, I’m gonna round up some foreign babes and spoil myself!”
“Fuck! I can’t even hold back right now!!”
“Where are you gonna find women in the middle of nowhere?”
“There are those little girls over there…”
“Boss, is that okay?”
“Do whatever you want. Just don’t kill them-corpses don’t sell.”
“Thanks, Boss!” A rough-looking man with colorful tattoos on his arms leered and walked toward the room where the kids were locked up.
“Any of you kids wanna play a game with me?” He stood outside the room, grinning at the kids through the window. His teeth were yellow and stinking.
The children huddled closer, shaking like leaves. “Mom; I’m scared!”
“Mom, help! There’s a bad man here!”
“Go away, bad man!”

They couldn’t hold back anymore-they burst into tears. But this was the middle of nowhere. No one came here, especially not at night.
The man walked to the door. On the other side, the kids couldn’t see what was happening outside.
Then-
Whoosh!
A bullet sliced through the air, hitting the man’s arm dead-on.
Splat!
The man’s arm was blown off by the bullet’s force. A spray of blood exploded into the air.
“Ah! My arm! It hurts like hell!” The man froze for a second, then screamed in agony.
“What’s going on?”
The sniper rifle had a silencer. No one else in the warehouse heard the shot-until the man’s screams filled the air. Then they realized something was wrong.
A few men ran over. They froze when they saw the bloody mess.
“Sniper!
“Take cover!”
The one-eyed man reacted first, roaring at the top
Whoosh!
of his lungs.
Another bullet cut through the air, hitting the man’s other arm. That arm was blown off too.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Three more shots rang out. The man’s legs were hit next-then a final bullet blew his head off.
“Holy shit!”
“That’s fucking brutal!”
The other traffickers stared at the man’s mangled body, horrified.
“Boss, what do we do now?”
The one-eyed man hid behind a stack of crates, his heart pounding.
This is a pro-100% accuracy.
He forced himself to calm down. “Don’t panic! It’s just one sniper!”
The one-eyed man was a sniper too-once an ace sniper for a foreign mercenary group. He was confident
in his skills.

“Stay down! Let me handle this.”
He pulled out a sniper rifle from nowhere and started scanning for the enemy’s position.
But the other sniper was like a ghost, hidden in the endless darkness.
“Turn off all the lights!” he ordered. “In the dark, they can’t see us.”
“Yes, boss!”
The warehouse went pitch-black instantly.
“Boss, can I move now?”
“The sniper’s hundreds of yards away. With it this dark, they can’t see us.”
One of his men felt relieved.
He was about to leave his hiding spot when-
Whoosh!
A bullet hit him square in the head.
The sniper could still track targets clearly in the dark.
