Chapter 79 The Wrath of the Patriarch
“Later, he nailed the top score of that test administration all over again!”

Rickie’s voice was brimming with excitement and admiration as he talked about the legendary academic genius, Arthur.
A faint glint sparked in Margaret’s beautiful eyes. She sounded casual but interested. “Well then, I’ll break his record.”
She loved challenging all kinds of records-accomplishing what others thought impossible.
Rickie’s eyes bulged. “Boss… are you kidding me?”
He’d wanted to say “Are you out of your mind?” but he didn’t dare, so he settled for a more polite version.
He clearly remembered her best total score was barely over 100… and now she was saying she’d beat Arthur’s record?
Noticing his overreaction, Margaret gave him a confused glance. Her tone was calm. “Is breaking his record
that hard?”
Rickie was lost for words.
Her words were so imposing he couldn’t even argue!
And for some reason, even though he knew it was impossible, he found himself trusting her. In his there was nothing she couldn’t pull off.
For the next three hours that afternoon, Margaret sat quietly reading… or rather, flipping pages.
She’d glance at a page for just a second before moving on to the next.
That day, all the teachers of Class 19 found it bizarre.
The classroom, which was usually as noisy as a market, was eerily quiet the entire day.
eyes,
The students still didn’t study, but they’d all mellowed out-even those playing mobile games had silently switched to mute, afraid to make a sound.
The teachers couldn’t help but marvel-so it was possible for students to keep quiet in class after all….
Rickie noticed how fast Margaret flipped through the books.
He realized he’d lost his mind earlier-for a split second, he’d actually believed Margaret could break
Arthur’s record.
He’d definitely been overthinking it.
After school, Margaret rode her motorcycle back to the Tucker Villa.

She wasn’t in a hurry to go see Andrew. Last night, she’d used her powers to stabilize his body temperature.
It should hold for another three days, sparing him the agony of the Cold Poison while he slept.
She’d go warm him up again in three days… and maybe get a sip of his blood too.
Around 7 PM at the Tucker Villa, Matthew and Nichole sat at the dinner table with grim, stormy expressions.
Only Margaret seemed in a good mood, picking at her food casually.
“Where’s Clara?” Matthew asked in a low voice, clearly in a foul temper.
A maid replied, “Sir, I’ve called to hurry her. She’ll be back any minute.”
A few minutes later, the maid walked in again. “Sir, Ms. Clara Tucker is home.”
When Clara entered, she was met with the icy glares of her parents.
She frowned slightly-she’d spent the whole day in the hospital, and had rushed home as soon as she woke up. She had no idea what was happening online.
She walked over and greeted Matthew warmly as usual, “Dad.”
Slap!
Before Clara could say anything else, Matthew slapped her without warning. It wasn’t the hardest hit, but Clara was completely stunned.
She held her cheek, staring at Matthew in disbelief.
Dad hit me? This is the first time ever!
“Dad… what did I do wrong?” A look of wronged innocence quickly spread across Clara’s face, her eyes glistening with unshed tears.
Nichole stood up too, gazing at Clara with concern. She pushed Matthew angrily. “Matthew! Why did you hit her? Can’t you talk this out calmly?!”
Matthew was furious-his face looked terrifying. “Calmly? How am I supposed to calm down?! She made a total fool of herself and dragged my reputation through the mud with her!”
“Mom, what’s going on?” Clara looked at Nichole pitifully, her heart pounding with panic.
Dad has always doted on me the most!
“Take out your phone! Check the trending topics yourself! Look at the humiliating mess you made at school today!”
Matthew was practically blowing a fuse.
Clara fumbled for her phone and opened the trending page. She stared at it for a few seconds, then her face turned deathly pale.

Wait-they got a video of me kneeling to Margaret at school? It’s up online? And it’s number one on the trends right
now?!.
Several other trending topics were bashing her and Michelle too.
[Clara is disgusting! She knelt to that girl on her own, but had the nerve to frame her! Unbelievable.]
