**220 Chapter 220 Seeds of Doubt**
**Fiona’s POV**
In truth, I should not have been taken aback by the scene unfolding before me. This was not the first time I had been thrust into such a horrifying situation; I had experienced it before when Allen had first imposed himself upon me.
Back then, I had foolishly convinced myself that it was merely Allen and his band of warriors—just their twisted interpretation of power and dominance. How naïve I had been! This was not just a reflection of their individual depravity.
This was the very essence of the Valerium way of life.
They took everything—and everyone.
Here, no sacred bonds existed between mates; they were mere illusions in a kingdom ruled by savagery. The strong seized whatever they desired, leaving vulnerable omegas like myself utterly defenseless. We were stripped of our power, devoid of any choice regarding our involvement.
This kingdom was darker than the most desolate pit of hell.
My heart raced as I locked eyes with a woman who seemed to be pleading for help. Her tear-streaked face bore an expression of desperation that sent a chill down my spine. What could I possibly do? I was powerless to save myself, let alone offer any assistance to her.
My feet moved instinctively, propelling me away from the ghastly scene. This was their nature—a pure, unadulterated savagery.
“What are you doing, my sweet Fiona?”
A sharp gasp escaped my lips as fingers clamped down on my elbow, yanking me around with brutal force. I hadn’t even heard him approach—my mind was racing, frantically searching for an escape from this waking nightmare. But there was no escape; I was ensnared in a trap of my own making.
“Let go of me!” I cried, wrenching my arm free from Allen’s grip, pouring every ounce of rage I could muster into the motion. His companion merely chuckled at my disgust, relishing my discomfort.
“I warned you about wandering at night, didn’t I?” Allen stood there, shirtless, his sagging skin making my stomach churn with revulsion.
A memory struck me like a lightning bolt—I had allowed this loathsome man to touch me, to impregnate me in exchange for drugs. What on earth had I been thinking? “I’m going back to my room,” I declared, my voice trembling with indignation.
I turned to flee, but Allen blocked my path with a casual arrogance. Behind him, the door gaped open, revealing a horrific tableau of his sick entertainment.
Two omegas were bound to bedposts, their eyes wide with fear, while three warriors loomed over them like vultures circling their prey.
“This might shock you, but join us, and I’ll show you how my people truly have fun.” I squinted, attempting to see the faces of the omegas, but the warriors’ muscular forms obscured my view. Still, I could envision their expressions mirroring the terror I had just witnessed. “How? By forcing yourself on them? Don’t you have an ounce of shame?” The words burst forth from my lips, fueled by anger. “Go back to your twisted games. I’m leaving.”
Allen chuckled, but remained unmoved.
I thought I had finally struck a nerve, but Allen’s reaction only fueled my fury further.
He laughed—a deep, mocking laugh that echoed in the dark corners of my mind.
“You really believe your mate bond with Reginald is something special? Don’t make me laugh. Do you trust him that much? Want to know a little secret?” Allen stepped closer, forcing me to instinctively retreat.
“Stay the hell away from me!” I hissed, my voice low and fierce, like a cornered animal ready to strike.
“You might be surprised by this little revelation.” Allen lowered his voice dramatically, as if he were about to unveil some earth-shattering truth. “Reginald agreed to let me have you. He didn’t hesitate for a second. I saw it in his eyes—no doubt whatsoever.”
I scoffed, shaking my head in disbelief. “You think I would buy that nonsense? You’re insane if you believe your pathetic lies will turn me against Reginald.”
“Lies?” Allen’s grin widened, a predatory glint in his eyes. “Reginald is the one who’s been lying to you. I never would have touched you without his permission. Our agreement was too important—I wouldn’t have made such an outrageous demand if Reginald had refused. We were equals then. He had the power to say no.”
I clenched my jaw, refusing to let his words seep into my mind. “You can rot in hell with your lies. I’ll never believe a word that comes out of your mouth.”
This time, it was Allen who scoffed, his laughter ringing hollow. “Fine. Believe whatever helps you sleep at night. But if this mate bond is so precious, why do you think he can stomach the thought of me pleasuring you? And why am I still breathing when he’s had plenty of chances to kill me? Answer that, sweet Fiona.”
