Fiona’s POV
I shouldn’t have been shocked by what I witnessed, really. I’d seen this exact scenario the first time Allen forced himself on me.
Back then, I convinced myself it was just Allen and his warriors—their twisted way of doing things. God, how stupid I was. This wasn’t just them.
This was the Valerium way.
They shared everything. Everyone.
No sacred bonds existed here between mates. The powerful took whoever they craved, leaving omegas like us completely defenseless. We had zero power, zero choice in whether we participated or not.
This kingdom was blacker than the deepest pit of hell.
My pulse hammered when the woman’s desperate eyes found mine. Silent tears streaked her face as she wordlessly begged for help. What could I possibly do? I couldn’t even save myself, let alone rescue someone else.
My feet moved on their own, carrying me away from the horrific scene. This was their nature—pure savagery.
"What are you doing, my sweet Fiona?"
I shrieked as fingers dug into my elbow, spinning me around brutally. I hadn’t heard him approach—my mind was racing, desperately plotting an escape from this nightmare. But there was no way out. This was a trap.
"Let go of me!" I ripped my arm free from Allen’s grasp, putting every ounce of fury I had into the motion. His companion just laughed at my disgust.
"I warned you about wandering at night, didn’t I?" Allen stood there shirtless, his wrinkled, sagging skin making my stomach lurch.
The memory hit me—I’d let this revolting man touch me, impregnate me for drugs. What the hell had I been thinking? "I’m going back to my room."
I spun around, but Allen blocked my path. Behind him, the door gaped open, giving me a clear view of his sick entertainment.
Two omegas were bound to bedposts while three warriors loomed over them like vultures.
"This might shock you, but join us and I’ll show you how my people really have fun."
I squinted, trying to see the omegas’ faces, but the warriors’ bodies blocked my view. Still, I could imagine their expressions mirrored the terror I’d seen moments before.
"How? By forcing yourself on them? Don’t you have any shame?" The words exploded from me. "Go back to your sick games. I’m leaving."
Allen chuckled, but didn’t move an inch.
