“Senior Lin,” 

Zeng Xiaoya greeted him politely, inviting Dr. Lin to sit down. 

Dr. Lin didn’t sit down. He looked at Zhan Yue and said, “I came to see Mr. Zhan. I guessed he was here, and he really is.” 

Zhan Yue raised an eyebrow. His rival was looking for him? What, did he want to steal Zeng Xiaoya from him? 

“Dr. Lin, is there something you need?” 

Zhan Yue asked, still seated. “What is it? Let’s talk here.” 

Dr. Lin said, “Mr. Zhan, can we go outside to talk? I’d like to invite you to the coffee shop at the street corner.” 

Zhan Yue looked helpless, stood up, and said to Zeng Xiaoya, “Xiaoya, I’m afraid I won’t be able to drink your tea tonight. I’ll drink it another time when I have time.” 

“Dr. Lin, let’s go. You’re buying me coffee.” 

Dr. Lin nodded to his aunt, then gave Zeng Xiaoya a deep look before following Zhan Yue out. 

He had also driven there, so the two of them drove to the coffee shop at the street corner. 

Auntie and Xiaoya followed them out, watching the two cars drive away. Auntie said to her niece, “They went to a coffee shop. At most, they’ll just banter; they won’t fight.”

Zeng Xiaoya said, not worried about a fight.

Second Aunt really liked Zhan Yue.

As long as Zhan Yue was a good man and sincere towards Xiaoya, they supported their relationship. 

“What did you think of Zhan Yue’s house today? Is it nice?” 

“A big villa with a front and back yard, understated yet luxurious—that’s how wealthy families are.” 

“But his family is really easy to get along with, without any airs of wealth. I met his parents, his uncle, and his aunt today; they were all very approachable and friendly.” 

She had a very good impression of Zhan Yue’s elders.
