“Roxy Longbottom’s at the entrance preparing a public confession to you.”

Laurence replied, “It’s not the first time she’s told the public she likes me, so she can do whatever she wants. Once she’s done it, I’ll just have to destroy it and knock her back down a peg again.

“I’ll sort out those documents with some overtime later tonight. I’ve already settled the particularly urgent stuff.

“Noelle, I think I’ve gotten the hang of knitting sweaters. This isn’t bad, don’t you think so? I think so.”

Noelle replied with a cold expression, “That doesn’t look bad to you? Who’d dare to wear a sweater knitted by you? If anyone wore that outside, people would laugh so hard their teeth fell out.”

She had snitched on him to Callia, but Callia did not give her the real answer in the end. All she said was that, since Clo wanted it, there was not much she could say.

Noelle was so curious, though.

She secretly tried to look into it on her own too.

She wanted to know how her boss had offended Chloe to the point he was punished by learning to knit a sweater.

It had to be said that Chloe’s punishment was indeed very special—especially difficult!

“What’s Roxy Longbottom doing at the entrance again?”

Laurence finally put down the sweater he had only knitted a fraction of and asked offhandedly.

“She’s ordered a whole bunch of fresh flowers and displayed them at the building entrance to confess her feelings to you.”

Laurence made a sound of acknowledgement before digging out his phone and making a call to get someone to drive a wheel loader over and shovel the flowers away once Roxy had the flowers all arranged in order.

Then, the flowers were to be delivered to Longbottom Corporation office and piled at its entrance.

Laurence replied, “I gave Sonny shares, so he’s one of the bosses here at Longtail too. However much he works, the money the company earns will still flow to him too.

“In fact, he earns more than I do.”

Sonny not only had shares in Longtail Group, but his stepfather’s company had been handed to him to manage as well, as Duncan Lewis viewed Sonny as his own, so Sonny owned some shares in Lewis & Co. too.

He had also established a few small companies of his own, specializing in industries he was interested in.

Though Sonny was learned in the areas of business that Longtail Group and Lewis & Co. were involved in, it was not his area of interest. He merely took up the roles he had there out of duty and friendship, and had no choice in it. The companies he owned fully, however, were involved in his areas of interest.

Noelle replied, “You’ll be a match for Mr. Brown in terms of wealth once you take over the Longbottom family.”

“I don’t care how much money I have as long as I have enough to use and spend. By the way, Noelle, next Friday, there’ll be an auction in Satbury. Let’s take a look when the time comes, and if there’s anything we like, we can buy it to keep.”
