Married at First Sight (Serenity and Zachary) novel Chapter 5352

Chelsea was lost for words.

She was infuriated.

No one in the family was on her side.

However, it was not as if she could walk away from her family for good.

At the end of the day, they were family. Chelsea was still Sonny’s aunt, even if the latter would not give her the time of day.

Chelsea would get an invite when Sonny got married. Sure, she would not get to sit at the head of the table, but it would be an honor just to attend the wedding since Sonny hung around the elites.

She would bring her husband and children along and get acquainted with high society. They might even rub shoulders with some powerful business tycoons.

By cutting ties, Chelsea would not be recognized as Sonny’s aunt.

She would not be on the guest list when Sonny was to get married.

Even when her family refused to support her, Chelsea never once entertained the thought of cutting contact despite her resentment.

Meanwhile, Sonny just came out of a brief meeting and returned to his office. Feeling drained, he took a breather and sat on the sofa.

With Chelsea coming to mind, Sonny asked the secretary and received word that Hank and Jessica dragged Chelsea away. Jessica was rather aggressive in shoving Chelsea into the car.

“Get her some new clothes. The seasons are changing, so she can use a new wardrobe.”

The fifty grand was for Hank’s daily expenses.

Still on the road, Hank did not respond to Sonny’s message right away.

He and Jessica dropped Chelsea off at Olivia’s place. Then, Hank told Jessica to tap the voice note while they made their way home.

After listening to the message, Hank said, “Accept the funds on Apple Cash. We’ll go on a vacation at the beach tomorrow. The money should be enough to cover the entire summer.”

Hank and Jessica no longer splurged as they did during their younger days. A hundred and fifty grand might not be much to Sonny, but the money would fund the entire summer holiday for Hank and Jessica.
