Serenity smiled and said, “You rarely get a chance to visit, and here you are helping me with chores. I’m starting to feel a little guilty.”

“How are your parents doing lately?” Serenity asked, checking in on Liberty’s life.

“They’re doing great. Mom is still as busy as ever. But Dad has handed over a massive chunk of the family business to Sonny and me, so he’s actually a lot freer now. He’s been focusing on his anti-aging routine lately. He even went out and got his hair dyed just a couple of days ago.”

Duncan was a few years older than Liberty. Having crossed into his sixties, he had officially entered the senior demographic, so getting gray hair was completely natural.

However, he refused to accept that he was aging. In fact, he was terrified that Liberty would start viewing him as an old man. Even though Liberty had started getting gray hair of her own, he felt ancient compared to her, which was why he constantly dyed his to maintain a more youthful appearance.

Liberty, on the other hand, preferred to let nature take its course. She knew that no matter how much she tried to keep herself looking young, aging was inevitable, and she embraced it gracefully.

After all, Sonny was already in his mid-thirties, so it was only right that she looked her age.

Serenity chuckled. “Zachary also rushes to dye his hair the second he spots a single strand of gray.”

“There’s absolutely nothing going on between Sonny and Everly. They’ve simply met a few times because their companies finalized a major partnership. That’s really all there is to it.”

Jeanne giggled. “I didn’t say anything was going on! I’m just curious about this woman. Her willpower must be made of iron if she can resist Sonny’s charms. You’ve met her before, haven’t you?”

“I have. She visited Wildridge Manor recently, and I played host. Everly is a wonderful girl. The moment we met, we hit it off so well that it felt like we were old friends. Despite the age gap, we’ve actually become quite close.”

“Joseph mentioned that Ms. Everly isn’t exactly the type of beauty who takes your breath away.”

“No, she isn’t. She’s not the type who takes your breath away. She’s the kind whose charm grows on you the more you get to know her. You have to look past her looks to see her inner beauty.”

Serenity added, “Besides, Sonny isn’t the type of man to judge a book by its cover. If he and Everly were to hit it off, they would actually make a great couple. But as of right now, neither of them has shown even a hint of romantic interest in the other.”
