Married at First Sight (Serenity and Zachary) novel Chapter 5388

Since it was just Jane and Lilian, the men in black did not see them as a threat.

Though Lilian was an expert in medicine, no one linked her to Laurence’s wicked methods. Their alarm bells did not go off when Lilian pulled out a small packet of powder. Plus, Lilian had her back facing them.

Lilian whipped around quickly, and before the men in black could react, the itching agent was thrown at them.

They were caught off guard.

“How long have they been gone?” Manny asked exasperatedly.

“T-They just left. Gah! It’s driving me mad. Just kill me!”

The agony of scratching was too much for him. He rolled on the floor and asked for his misery to end.

“Butler! Butler!” Manny cried out loud.

The butler hurried over.

“Sir.”

Manny pointed at the men in black and said, “Take them to the pool. Dump them in there for a good clean. Change out the water later.”

Otherwise, the family would be itchy from swimming.

The butler called for reinforcements to carry the men in black to the pool.

Manny took out his phone to call the guards at the gate and ask, “Are the two Mrs. Johnsons gone?”

The guard on duty replied, “They just drove out.”

“Chase after them. Hurry up and call for backup. Don’t let them get away, idiot. You are all useless.”

Manny sent his bodyguards to give chase.

“What’s going on? You can’t even stop two women? You let them escape?”

Tony and Susan emerged to see what the commotion was all about.

Noticing Jane and Lilian’s absences, Tony yelled with a scowl, “You are useless! You can’t even stop two women. One of us could’ve taken Mrs. Johnson down even though she knew how to fight.

“Carden could handle herself in a fight, but she was outnumbered.”

The situation was unlike the Yorks, though. Serenity, the lady of the household, had to be skilled.

“Pops, Carden was armed with itching powder. She fights dirty like Laurence.”

The methods were not lethal, but those affected would feel trapped in a living hell.

They would be wishing they were dead instead.
