Everly asked about how Serenity was doing lately. She liked Serenity quite a bit. They had only interacted for about a day, but she felt like they had quite a lot of interests in common. Even their personalities and the way they did things were similar.

Kaden had delegated a portion of the Flemming household matters to Maddie to manage, ensuring she would feel she had a place at home.

For the important things, he and Everly had the final say. Luckily, he raised Everly himself and she had a strong personality, unlike Maddie. It was not as easy for Maddie’s family to manipulate Everly.

Kaden only loosened the reins a little and allowed Everly to handle the relationship with her mother’s side of the family herself once she came of age, could hold her own, and took over management of the company.
