Devon was Chloe’s fiancé and a frequent caller at FC & Co. He was pretty much there every day, so much so that the employees would wonder if he were sick if he did not come.

He flipped open a binder and started going through it earnestly. Once he was done, he jotted “no problem” in pencil at the top of the first page, which was his usual practice when helping Chloe with her work.

He read through it and felt there was no issue with it, so Chloe only needed to sign it off.

Their companies worked closely together, so he knew how far each project had progressed, and vice versa. Chloe was also very familiar with the ins and outs of the Ormonds’ business.

The elders all joked that if the two were enemies that decided to go all out against each other, neither would gain the upper hand because they simply knew each other too well.
