Roxy snapped out of her thoughts and quickly lowered her head, but everyone in the room had already seen the hateful way she had been glaring at Noelle.

Tony shot her a fierce look. "Roxy, apologize to Mr. Laurence and Ms. Noelle."

Roxy jerked her head up and stared at her grandfather in disbelief. "Apologize? All I did was look at her for a couple of minutes. Why should I apologize?"

She was a lady of the Longbottom family, but who was Noelle? Noelle was just Laurence's bodyguard, and an orphan at that. Even her surname had been given to her by Laurence.

Laurence's voice turned cold. "You weren't just looking at her. You were glaring at her with such venom that everyone here could see you wanted her dead.

"I know you and Noelle had plenty of conflicts in the past, a history of bad blood, so it's understandable that you resent her. However, Noelle is my fiancée now, and I'm the family head. No matter how much you hate her, don't let me see you acting that way.

"It irritates me when I do. Tony Longbottom, I expect you to give me an explanation."

Laurence stopped calling him “uncle” and addressed him by his full name instead.

"Yes, Mr. Laurence. I'll make sure to discipline Roxy properly. As you said, she and Ms. Noelle had a lot of conflicts in the past because she didn't know better. That's why… She was in the wrong. She should've let go of the past long ago.

"Roxy, apologize to Ms. Noelle immediately! From now on, stop holding on to old grudges. The past is in the past."

Tony ordered his granddaughter to apologize again.
