Chasing a woman. No shame about it whatsoever.
Gavin turned up his collar and walked to his own car.

The VIP lounge of the private club was dim and loud with bass. Jasper sat alone at the corner table, a row of empty glasses pushed to the side, a fresh one in his hand.
His friends had tried to talk to him. They’d given up an hour ago and drifted to the other end of the room.
Sienna walked in and spotted him immediately.
She crossed the floor, reached down, and pulled the glass out of his hand.
He looked up. His eyes were unfocused.
The others in the group read the room and filtered out, leaving the two of them alone in the booth.
“You lost,” she said.
“Don’t.”
“You withdrew the defense yourself.” She sat down across from him. “Was it for her?”
“I said don’t.”
Sienna studied his face in the low light. Then she slid around the table and sat beside him, close, her hand resting on his arm.
“Jasper.” Her voice dropped. “Just let it go. File the divorce. Move on.”
He tried to pull his arm back. She held on.
“Do you want to know something?” she said. “I found your safe. Years ago. I saw the photos.”
He went still.
“I always knew,” she said. “Both of you. Your brother, and you.” She tilted her head, watching him. “But I’ve always pretended not to know, because by then I had already chosen your older brother.”
“Sienna-”

“But unexpectedly, he passed away, so young and yet he was gone.” Her voice didn’t waver. “He left me all alone.” She looked at him directly. “Now, I want to ask you, do you still want me?”
His heart was torn, “Listen to me, Sienna, we can’t do this now.”
She kissed him, throwing herself entirely into his embrace.
When the scent of her perfume entered his nostrils, he felt the taut string in his mind snap, and he began to kiss her back with fervent passion.
“Jasper, do you still want me?” she breathed against his ear. He pushed her back against the cushions and didn’t stop.
He was lost in this body he had yearned for so many years.
Afterward, the room was quiet.
Jasper sat up first. He ran a hand through his hair and stared at the floor.
“This was a mistake,” he said, his voice low and unsteady. “Oh my God, I drank too much. Why did I-” He shook his head. “God, what am I doing.”
He grabbed his jacket and his shirt and dressed quickly, not looking at her. Then he walked
out.
Sienna pretended to be in a deep sleep until she heard the door close behind him, then she opened her eyes.
