Leo
"Here?" I questioned, though my body was already screaming at me to take her.
She nodded, lifting herself slightly. "Here. Now."
Who was I to deny my mate? I positioned myself at her entrance, then watched in fascination as she lowered herself onto me, inch by exquisite inch. Her face was a study in pleasure—lips parted, eyes half-closed, cheeks flushed with desire.
When she had taken all of me, we both stilled, savoring the perfect connection. Water lapped around us, the heat of the bath nothing compared to the inferno where our bodies joined.
"You feel like home," I whispered, surprised by my own honesty.
Victoria’s eyes flew open, something profound passing between us in that moment. "So do you."
Then she began to move, lifting and lowering herself on my length with an instinctive grace that drove me wild. I gripped her hips, helping guide her movements, watching in fascination as pleasure transformed her face.
"That’s it, Victoria," I encouraged, thrusting up to meet each of her downward movements. "Take what you need from me."
Water sloshed over the sides of the tub as our rhythm intensified. I felt her inner walls beginning to flutter around me, a sure sign she was approaching her peak. Determined to send her over the edge first, I slipped a hand between us, finding that sensitive bundle of nerves with my thumb.
Victoria cried out, her back arching beautifully as pleasure overtook her. The sight of her coming undone—hair wild, eyes closed in ecstasy, body shuddering around mine—was more than I could resist. With a guttural growl, I followed her over the edge, my release pulsing deep inside her.
For several minutes, we remained locked together, foreheads touching as we caught our breath. The water had cooled somewhat around us, but the heat between our bodies showed no signs of diminishing.
"We should rinse off," I murmured eventually, pressing a kiss to her temple.
Victoria nodded languidly, her post-orgasmic state making her movements slow and dreamy. I lifted her carefully, both of us gasping as I slipped from her body. Standing with her still in my arms, I carried her back to the shower.
The cool spray seemed to revive her somewhat. She blinked up at me, a mischievous smile curving her lips. "I thought you said I needed rest."
I laughed, the sound echoing off the marble walls. "I said you needed to recover your strength. I never specified how."
She rolled her eyes, but her smile widened. "Semantics, Alpha Moretti."
I turned her gently, pressing her front against the cool tile wall. "Practical application, Alpha Howlthorne," I countered, dropping to my knees behind her. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
Victoria gasped as I parted her legs and ran my tongue along her inner thigh, tasting the mingled evidence of our passion. "Leo, what are you—oh!"
Her question dissolved into a moan as I cleaned her with my tongue, savoring the intimate task. By the time I’d finished, she was trembling again, ready for more.
I rose slowly, pressing kisses up her spine as I stood. "Still think you need rest?" I asked, voice rough with renewed desire.
Victoria looked over her shoulder at me, eyes dark with want. "What I need is you."
Those words were all the invitation I required. I entered her from behind with one smooth thrust, both of us groaning at the perfect fit. Her hands splayed against the tile wall for support as I began to move, setting a deliberate pace that had her gasping with each thrust.
"Leo," she moaned, pushing back against me. "Harder."
I increased my pace, one hand gripping her hip while the other snaked around to cup her breast. "Like this?" I growled, pounding into her with controlled force.
Her expression softened. "I’m stronger than I look, Leo."
"I’m well aware," I said dryly. "Most wolves couldn’t do what you did today—connecting with plants across miles of territory, extracting specific intelligence. But strength isn’t invulnerability, Victoria."
I dried her off with careful attention, then wrapped her in one of my robes. It swallowed her small frame, making her look even more delicate than she was.
"I can’t lose you," I admitted as I led her to the bed. "Not now. Not after everything."
Victoria climbed into bed, then held the covers up in invitation. I slipped in beside her, gathering her against me as if I could protect her from the world through proximity alone.
"You won’t lose me," she murmured, curling into my side. "We’re going to rescue my brother and stepmother, stop Marcus, and then figure out this whole Forest People heritage thing together."
I pressed a kiss to the top of her head, inhaling her scent—jasmine shampoo, the lingering musk of our lovemaking, and that unique Victoria essence that had become as necessary to me as oxygen.
"Together," I agreed, though a part of me wondered if I could truly keep such a promise.
As Victoria drifted off to sleep in my arms, her breathing evening out.I tightened my hold on her sleeping form, a silent vow forming in my heart. Marcus would never touch her. I would tear out his throat with my own teeth before I let him use Victoria as a weapon.
But a nagging voice whispered in the back of my mind: wasn’t I planning to use her power too? For our pack, for our future, but still—using her nonetheless?
The thought troubled me as I finally closed my eyes, seeking the oblivion of sleep. The line between protection and possession had never seemed so thin, so easily crossed.
And I, who had spent a lifetime navigating dangerous territories, had never felt less certain of my path forward.
