"Your Majesty, the Gloam Wing has arrived. They've also captured the last of Garrett's men," the guard announced.
Gadel narrowed his eyes slightly but gave a faint nod.
Sensing Gadel's silence, the chief guard stood off to the side and stayed quiet.
A moment later, Scar and his men approached. They bowed without hesitation.
"Scar of the Gloam Wing, reporting to Your Majesty," Scar greeted, bowing his head.
Gadel eyed him. "Where are Garrett's people?"
Scar instantly motioned to the group behind him, all tied up and looking pretty rough.
He added, "Your Majesty, Commander Rocco tried to rebel just yesterday morning. He even plotted to infiltrate the palace and take your life. He promised us riches and power if we helped him."
Gadel raised an eyebrow, slightly curious. "Why didn't you?"
"Your Majesty, you are destined to lead Montiria to greatness. With you, we'll rise to the top!" Scar's tone was enthusiastic as if he were Gadel's most loyal supporter.
Gadel followed Scar's gesture and noticed Rocco and his group, bound and covered in dust, looking ultimately defeated.
Standing nearby, Matthew suddenly focused on Rocco, thinking, The first time we crossed paths was back in Montiria. All these years later, everything's changed, and here we are again.
Gadel ordered, "Take them to the water dungeon. We'll decide their fate later."
The guards moved in, grabbing Rocco's group and dragging them off through the crowd.
Gadel turned to Matthew with a smile. "Let's go. Sorry for the drama."
With a light laugh, he led Matthew to the car. They got in, and the vehicle rolled forward over a long red carpet. Soldiers lined up on either side, standing tall with their guns ready. As the car moved, the soldiers aimed balloons floating in the sky and fired.
Bang! Fireworks exploded overhead, lighting up the sky with brilliant colors.

The readers' comments on the novel: Medical Genius Unspeakable Marriage (Matthew Larson)
The story started out really good, but after 400+ chapters, I got exhausted because of the in-laws. There’s just too much pointless chatter and greed. The protagonist is supposed to be strong but turns soft whenever the in-laws are involved—even the wife, yikes. Do they always have to give in to every demand and treat? Too weak. I didn’t get angry, just tired… so I stopped reading 😜...
