Medical Genius Unspeakable Marriage (Matthew Larson) novel Chapter 3657

Matthew suddenly appeared behind the Medusa Emissary like a ghost.

The envoy felt a chill run down his spine.

He reacted quickly and jumped to the side.

Matthew only managed to grab a piece of his clothing.

Under the mask, the envoy's serious expression turned into one of shock.

How is that possible?

Just a moment ago, Matthew had been at least a hundred meters away.

What kind of power does it take to close that gap in an instant?

"With skills like yours, why would you come after our gang?" the envoy asked. "If you wanted, I'd even give you my position."

He knew that fighting Matthew any longer would only end badly.

He still had no idea how strong this guy really was.

He'd managed to dodge the last attack—but what about the next one?

He isn't sure he can avoid it again.

"No, no," Matthew said. "I already told you—give me your life, and I'll think about working for you. Didn't you just say I could ask for anything I wanted?"

His tone was calm, and his expression didn't change.

He wasn't in a rush to kill the envoy.

If he had been, there was no way that last strike would've missed.

"Are you really going to drag this out until we both die?" the envoy asked. "You martial arts types ignore all the rules. Don't forget, our gang knows plenty of grandmasters too."

His eyes behind the mask looked anxious.

Still no backup. What's taking them so long?

He had no idea Matthew had planted silver needles at the entrance earlier.

Anyone who passed through would get struck straight in the heart and die instantly.

Is this guy, the one pretending to be Benson, working with others?

Has the whole defense team already been wiped out?

He held up a small remote.

"…everyone in here dies. You, me, all of us. If you really try to kill me, I'm not scared to die. Taking someone like you with me? Worth it."

Matthew looked around at the bodies on the floor.

You call that a fair trade?

A whole base couldn't even take me out.

"You're right," Matthew said. "If all that explosive went off right under us, even I probably wouldn't survive."

The envoy's eyes lit up a little behind the mask.

Is he backing down?

He didn't want to die here either. As an envoy, he had power. Dying now would be a waste.

"But," Matthew said, "are you sure you can even press that button?"

Suddenly, sharp pain shot through the envoy's wrist.
