Chapter 325 Headed Straight for Nina
During the massage, she just wouldn’t stay still.
Seeing that, Chloe decided to let her watch TV for a littl while instead.
After Chloe finished her own massage, they followed Fiona to listen to music and watch a dance performance.
But Nina was too young to appreciate it.
Held in Chloe’s arms, she watched for a few minutes bu quickly got bored.
She wanted to go play, and Chloe had to follow her.

Seeing Chloe having to follow Nina around like this, Fiona said, “Chloe, take a break. I can have someone else watch her.”
Chloe shook her head. “It’s okay. I’ll keep an eye on her myself.”
Then she followed Nina around for quite a while.
As lunchtime approached, Fiona looked at her phone and said, “Chloe, Felix will be here soon. Do you mind if we have lunch together?”
Chloe said, “Huh? How come he’s coming?”
Fiona explained honestly, “He used to come often for lunch. This time, I told him you and Nina were here playing, and he said he’d happened to buy a gift for Nina but hadn’t had a chance to give it to her yet. He wanted to bring it over.”
Felix was coming specifically to give Nina the gift, which seemed sincere enough.
Chloe thought it was unnecessary, but he was already or his way-too late to refuse.
Chloe replied, “Sure, he can come. But I don’t know him well, so I might not have much to say.”
Fiona smiled, “Don’t worry-you don’t have to make small talk. Felix is really good at carrying a conversation.”
After praising Felix, Fiona smiled at Nina, “Nina, you’re going to get a gift soon. Are you happy?”
“Happy!” Nina was always excited about getting gifts.
She asked impatiently, “Where?”
“It’s on the way. It’ll be here soon,” Fiona said.
Nina said, “Okay.”
Then she toddled over to the door on her little legs.
She was going to wait for the gift at the door.
Nina had no concept of time. If the adults ordered her toy online, she’d ask if it had arrived right after they placed the order.

It was the same with gifts-if she heard there was one fo her, she wanted it right away.

Soon, Felix’s car pulled up at the entrance. He got out and personally unloaded a small tricycle motorcycle from the trunk.
The moment Nina saw it, her eyes lit
lit up.
“Wow!”
Nina already had a similar small motorcycle, but a new one still excited her.
She rushed to the motorcycle and declared happily, “Nina like!”
Nina’s happiness made Chloe happy, too.
She picked Nina up and placed her on the motorcycle seat, saying to Felix, “Thank you.”
Felix smiled humbly, “Fiona and I both adore Nina. If this gift makes her happy, it’s totally worth it.”
He certainly knew how to talk.
Felix had already sent Fiona flowers that morning, and now he’d also brought her some snacks from a nearby store.
Fiona took the still-warm snacks, and a warm feeling spread through her chest.
She invited Felix inside, while Nina hopped on her new motorcycle and rode it all around the yard.
She wouldn’t even listen when Chloe called her for lunch.
Chloe called out, “Nina, listen-can you hear your tummy growling?”
Nina was indeed hungry by now.
But when she was having fun, she didn’t care if she was ungry or not.
She pretended not to hear Chloe calling her.
Finally, Chloe had to go over, pick her up, and carry her in for lunch.
As usual, Chloe fed Nina her lunch.
Felix sat nearby. He didn’t rush Nina when he saw she was eating slowly; instead, he chatted with her and played little games to encourage her to eat.
“Give me candy?” Nina still remembered Felix-she remembered he had candy.
Now she was asking him for candy again.
Felix smiled, “Finish your food nicely first, and then we an talk about candy.”
Having someone to talk to made Nina even more distrated while eating.
“Felix, stop engaging with her for now.” Chloe, who’d spent ages trying to feed her just half a plate, said, “The more you pay attention to her, the less she’ll focus on eating.”

Felix said, “Alright, I won’t talk to her then.”
He stopped talking to Nina and focused on looking after Fiona during the meal.

With no one paying attention to her in the high chair anymore, Nina finally started eating and finished her food.
Once she’d fed Nina, Chloe put her down and asked the housekeeper to keep an eye on her before finally sitting down to eat her own meal.
Felix ate quickly, too.
He politely excused himself early, so Chloe and Fiona could keep eating and chatting. “I’ll go check on Nina,” he said.
After leaving the table, Felix headed straight for Nina.
Nina was playing with her new motorcycle again, having a great time riding it around.
