Chapter 525 Go Catch the Culprit Together
Nina showed up at Sunbeam Daycare without any bugs this time.
Benjamin and Amelia had gone through her little backpack ahead of time and checked everything thoroughly.
With no bugs to keep her company at school, Nina’s eyes welled up with tears as she parted ways with Benjamin and Amelia.
“Nina no scool.” Nina’s voice trembled, thick with sadness as she refused to head inside.
Sally walked out of Sunbeam Daycare to greet her, simply brushing off Nina’s whimper.
She stepped forward, picked Nina up in her arms, and carried her straight into the building.
Being held by Sally only made Nina sadder for a moment.
Yet her sorrow didn’t last more than a few seconds.
The second she stepped inside and spotted all the other kids, she forgot all about crying and ran off to play with them.
She laughed and giggled nonstop as she messed around, never sparing another thought to her earlier
tears.
At most, she’d shed a few quiet tears during naptime at noon-but the teachers only had to soothe her a little, and she’d calm right down.
Nina actually adapted to life at Sunbeam Daycare perfectly well.
When the school day ended, Nina didn’t head straight home.
She had other plans lined up after daycare.
Nina wasn’t going to hang out with Tanner today; she’d made plans with boys instead.
Barry, Lucien, and Nelson were the ones who’d invited her.
The three kids waited together for Nina to arrive.
The grown-ups all knew about this little playdate and fully supported it.
With several older boys looking after Nina, the adults could finally have a quiet time to themselves.
It wasn’t long before Nina was dropped off at the spot for their small gathering.
The moment she got there, she spotted Lucien dressed in a tiny racing suit.
“Wow,” she breathed out, then ran over and threw her arms around Lucien. “Pwetty.”
Nina complimented Lucien on his good looks.

Lucien patted the top of her little head gently and smiled back at her, “You’re the prettiest one here. Nina.
He usually came off as cool and aloof around everyone else.
Only with Nina did he turn into such a warm, caring older brother.
The two hugged and nuzzled each other softly, and soon, Barry and Nelson joined right in.
All three kids took turns snuggling Nina, then ran off to play together.
Lucien was totally obsessed with toy cars of every kind.
He’d brought a whole pile of them for the playdate. Nina and Nelson, being the youngest two, hopped into one car together.
Lucien and Barry each took their own separate toy car.
The four kids raced their cars around the yard a few times. Then Lucien put on a serious expression, leading the way up front and announcing they were off to catch a bad guy.
The “bad guy” Lucien was talking about was the one who’d kept sneaking off to pop the wheels off his toy
cars.
Someone had stolen the wheels from his toy cars countless times before.
He’d sworn he’d track down the culprit no matter what.
His persistence paid off eventually. He’d begged Lucas for ages, and Lucas-who worked as an active police officer-agreed to take on his little case and help find the person responsible.
Lucas got things done fast and efficiently once he stepped in.
Thanks to the security cameras he’d installed, they finally figured out who’d been tampering with the toy car wheels.
Lucien had invited his friends and brought Nina along today with one clear goal-to go catch the culprit together.
Nina was beyond excited about their little mission.
Her chubby cheeks flushed pink with thrill.
Still sitting in the toy car and not even catching sight of the suspect yet, she chattered away nonstop to Nelson beside her. “Nina catch bad guy. Nina powice.”
Nina was set on playing the police officer. Nelson sat right next to her, quietly speeding up his car to follow Lucien’s lead.
He was determined to let Nina live out her little pretend dream.
The four kids zoomed out of the yard, through the front gate, and headed straight toward the neighboring houses.

Chapter 525 Go Catch the Culprit Together
Lucien lived in an upscale gated villa community.
There were only six villas in the whole complex, and the Norrod family owned one of them, too.
Lucien steered his toy car with a clear target in mind, heading straight for a villa he’d never visited before.
The gate to this villa was always kept tightly shut.
Lucien had always thought no one lived there at all.
Nina said, “Door close.”
Lucien said with total certainty, “There is someone inside! The bad guy’s hiding right in there. Let’s climb over and get in.”
The main gate was locked tight, leaving no way to walk in normally.
The kids tried scrambling over the wall, but they couldn’t make it over, no matter how hard they tried.
Luckily, Barry found a small hole in the wall just big enough for a kid to crawl through.
He climbed inside first without hesitation.
Once Barry was safely inside, he called out for Nina to crawl through, too. “Nina, come here.”
Lucien didn’t trust how narrow the hole was and stopped Nina from trying right away.
