Mr. CEO Your Wife Has Wanted a Divorce for a Long Time novel Chapter 666

Chapter 666

Chapter 666

Hearing her voice, Isabella lit up. “Wow, Mom and Dad are really together?”

Maggie paused for a second but didn’t answer. Instead, she asked, “Why aren’t you asleep yet?”

“About to sleep. But Mom, don’t forget what we agreed on-after you and Dad come back, we’re having dinner together.”

“I didn’t forget,” Maggie said. “It’s late. Go to bed.”

“Okay. Good night, Mom.” After saying that, Isabella added, “Mom, tell Dad good night for me too. I won’t call him separately.”

And with that, she hung up.

Maggie froze for a moment, then handed the phone back to Franklin. She didn’t pass along Isabella’s good-night

message.

Maybe he’d heard what Isabella said on the call, because as Franklin took the phone, he said, “She saw us together on the livestream and thought we were living together. She insisted on talking to you.”

“I figured.”

Even if he didn’t explain, she could guess. There was no way he’d be the one to tell Isabella they were attending the same event on this trip.

He wouldn’t create trouble for himself.

Franklin nodded and didn’t say anything else. He simply told her good night and turned to leave.

Maggie also turned around and went back to her room to rest.

By noon the next day, Maggie, Johnny, Franklin, and Glen all boarded the same flight back to New York.

Their seats were even close to one another.

During the flight, Maggie naturally chatted with Johnny and Glen from time to time. As for Franklin, he didn’t interact

with the three of them at all.

When they landed in New York, it was already close to four in the afternoon.

Since Maggie had promised to have dinner with Isabella, she didn’t leave with Johnny and Glen. Instead, she got into a car by herself.

As she sat down, she also saw Franklin getting into the car that had come to pick him up.

Nearly an hour later, Isabella was already waiting in the private room.

When Maggie arrived, Franklin arrived as well.

They were almost walking side by side, but neither spoke as they headed toward the restaurant.

After a few steps, Maggie slowed down slightly.

Franklin noticed and stopped too, turning back to look at her. “What’s wrong?”

Maggie frowned but didn’t answer. She simply walked into the restaurant.

These past two days, both of them had been away. Isabella had been bored and missed them a lot. The moment she saw them, her face lit up, and she threw herself into Maggie’s arms. “Mom!”

Maggie rubbed her head and bent down to hug her. “Did you order yet?”

Franklin closed the door to the private room before sitting down beside Isabella.

Isabella leaned against Maggie. After ordering, she suddenly remembered something and couldn’t help saying. “Mom, since you went to get an award this time, why didn’t you and Dad tell me? I could’ve gone with you and sat in the audience with Dad to cheer for you.”

There were plenty of reasons she couldn’t bring her.

But…

Franklin didn’t answer.

Maggie said, “There were limited family slots. I couldn’t bring that many people.”

“Then I could’ve gone just to travel with you guys.” As she said that, Isabella suddenly remembered something. “It’s been a long time since the three of us went on a trip together.”

And just like that, she suddenly really wanted to go somewhere far away with Maggie and Franklin-somewhere they could stay for many days before coming back.
