Mr Melendez,Your Wife Wants Divorce Long ago novel Chapter 379

**Fading Into You by Iris Blake**
**Chapter 379**

With a weary sigh, Linda leaned against her husband, her body trembling slightly as she nodded. “Mr. Melendez,” she began, her voice barely above a whisper, yet it carried a weight of conviction, “I assure you, I am not an unreasonable person. However, if you intend to protect Dr. Palmer and insinuate that I am the one who set her up, then there is no need for further discussion. I will simply bear this injustice in silence.”

A shadow crossed Jayceon’s face, the air around him thickening with an unspoken threat. “Mrs. Caldwell,” he said, his voice low and menacing, “I am the one who placed Georgina behind bars. If the Carrillo family has an issue with my actions, let them confront me directly. Do not involve innocent parties in this mess.”

Linda cast her gaze downward, embodying the very essence of a wronged woman. “You must be jesting, Mr. Melendez,” she replied, her tone laced with feigned innocence. “The Carrillo family is but a small, insignificant entity; how could we possibly dare to oppose you? We are too afraid to voice our grievances even within our own home, let alone drag anyone innocent into this turmoil.”

Mr. Caldwell, sensing his wife’s distress, enveloped Linda in a protective embrace, his voice taking on a fierce edge. “Mr. Zachary, Mr. Melendez,” he declared, his words ringing with authority, “we possess witnesses and video evidence to support my wife’s claims. She has been wronged today, and I will seek justice for her, even if it means challenging the very forces of nature! If you choose to shield that woman today, you will make an enemy of the Caldwell family!”

In a bold move, Mr. Caldwell commanded his butler to summon the police, his resolve unshakeable.

Witnessing this, Jayceon instinctively reached out for Arabella’s hand, a gesture meant to offer her comfort amidst the rising tension.

Yet, Arabella, with surprising resolve, stepped forward, causing Jayceon’s outstretched hand to grasp nothing but empty air once more.

**Chapter 370**

He stood there, utterly bewildered, his eyes locked onto Arabella.

Arabella’s demeanor shifted, her expression morphing into one of genuine distress, her vulnerability starkly contrasting even with Linda’s plight.

“Zachary,” she began, her voice trembling yet earnest, “you were the one who brought me into the Caldwell family’s home today. I never intended to speak much, fearing I might disrupt the delicate peace between our families. But Mrs. Caldwell’s relentless pushiness has forced my hand; I can no longer remain silent.”

Zachary had taken Arabella under his wing, treating her with the tenderness one would show a beloved sibling.

She could not allow a rift to form between the Caldwell and Hamilton families because of her presence, knowing it would only complicate matters for Zachary with his older brother.

Fortunately, she was well-prepared for this confrontation.

Had she not been, she would have undoubtedly fallen into Linda’s cunning trap today.

In front of the gathered crowd, Arabella took a deep breath and calmly rolled up the sleeve of her right arm, revealing the marks left by the earlier encounter.

Arabella, maintaining her innocent facade, countered, “Mrs. Caldwell, I acknowledge that I have had some disagreements with Georgina, but I was unaware of your existence until now, let alone that she was your niece.”

She continued, her tone steady, “Or do you truly believe that I, fully aware of the security cameras in this vicinity, would intentionally bruise myself to frame someone I don’t even know?”

Linda had not anticipated such a clever retort from Arabella.

Having already revealed her identity in the banquet hall downstairs, Arabella demonstrated remarkable composure, feigning ignorance about her ties to the Carrillo family in front of everyone.

For a moment, Linda found herself at a loss for words, her mind racing to formulate a response.

Arabella stepped closer, her demeanor unwavering as she confronted Linda directly. “Mrs. Caldwell, you were fully aware that I was brought here by Mr. Zachary of the Hamilton family. Yet you maliciously slandered me and attempted to tarnish my reputation, striving to create discord between our families. What is your true motive?”

Before Linda could muster a reply, Zachary interjected, his voice firm. “Mr. Caldwell, has our Hamilton family offended you in some manner?”

Observing the escalating situation, Mr. Caldwell quickly interjected, “Mr. Zachary, what are you implying? The Caldwell family and the Hamilton family have always shared a strong bond. This is merely a misunderstanding—a grave misunderstanding.”
