Mr Melendez,Your Wife Wants Divorce Long ago novel Chapter 383

**Chapter 383**

Jayceon had lost track of the countless times Arabella had turned away from him, seeking solace in someone else’s arms. Each instance felt like a dagger to his heart, a reminder of the distance that had grown between them.

With a heavy heart, he gazed into Arabella’s eyes, his own reflecting a deep well of pain. “Arabella, I need to ask you something!” he implored, his voice trembling with desperation.

Noticing Jayceon’s disheveled appearance, Samuel stepped in, trying to reason with him. “Jay, please, don’t be so stubborn. Let’s get you home first. Once you’re feeling better, you can talk to Arabella. You both deserve a proper conversation.”

Jayceon’s eyes were bloodshot, a testament to the sleepless nights he had endured, and he pushed Samuel away with a wave of frustration. “I can’t wait, Samuel! I need to hear it from her now!” His voice cracked, revealing the raw emotion he struggled to contain.

Arabella paused, weighing her options. She turned to Zachary and Samuel, her expression unreadable. “Zachary, Sam, you both should go ahead. I have something to discuss with Mr. Melendez as well.”

Zachary, sensing Arabella’s reluctance to burden him, nodded in understanding. He respected her decision, knowing that Jayceon was attempting to make amends rather than inflict more pain.

With that, Zachary and Samuel climbed into their cars, one after the other, and drove away, leaving the deserted road shrouded in silence.

As the night deepened, only Jayceon and Arabella remained, the tension palpable between them. Arabella regarded him with a cool detachment, her voice icy as she asked, “Whatever it is you have to say, Mr. Melendez, now is the time.”

Jayceon felt the sting of her indifference cut through him like a sharp blade. He stepped closer, his hands gripping her shoulders with a desperate urgency. “Why would Franklin give you such an extravagant evening gown?” he demanded, his voice low but fierce.

Before Arabella could respond, he shook her gently, his emotions bubbling to the surface. “Why did you accept something from him? Why are you wearing clothes he bought you?!”

They stood there on the dimly lit sidewalk, the world around them fading into insignificance. Arabella remained still, her gaze fixed on him as if he were a stranger.

Once his outburst subsided, she took a breath and calmly reminded him, “Jayceon, I’m single now. I can accept gifts from whoever I choose, and I will wear whatever I want. My life is none of your concern!”

Her voice, though not raised, held an unwavering resolve that silenced him. Jayceon shook his head, a mix of disbelief and desperation washing over him. “It’s not that simple! You can’t possibly mean that!”

As he felt her body go still in his arms, a wave of panic washed over him.

He held her even tighter, his voice softening, filled with desperation. “Good girl, Arabella. I’ll give you everything I have. You can buy whatever you desire. Just don’t accept gifts from Franklin, okay?”

Jayceon waited, his heart racing, but no response came from her. Anxiety gnawed at him as he loosened his grip slightly, shifting to a more pleading tone. “Arabella, please, say something!”

She pressed her hands against his chest, creating a small distance between them. “Let go of me first,” she insisted, her voice firm yet strained.

The tension hung heavily in the air, and with a reluctant sigh, Jayceon released her. Arabella stepped back, her expression as cold as ice.

“Jayceon,” she began, her voice steady, “if Franklin giving me a dress implies his intentions are questionable, then what does that say about all the things you’ve given Georgina? What kind of hidden feelings do you have for her?”

The question lingered in the air, leaving Jayceon momentarily speechless, the weight of her words bearing down on him like a heavy shroud.
