Chapter 1323 -1324: Slaying!_1
Reckless Virgil, armed with a longsword, charged at the green figures.
These creatures were already eerily mysterious, but Virgil’s spiritual power was now suppressed, and he couldn’t possibly handle them.
“Fool!” Ethan Smith gritted his teeth, cursing involuntarily.
He wanted to save Virgil, but as soon as Ethan left, defenseless Ava might be in danger.
“Clang!”
Virgil’s sword struck the mysterious creature’s body, sending sparks flying.
Virgil’s face changed drastically as he withdrew his sword to see the blade was bent.
“Get back here!” Ethan yelled.
Virgil tried to retreat but had no opportunity. A green arm reached out in an instant, grabbing him in its grip.
His face turned red with the inability to breathe, the oppressive presence preventing him from gathering strength, much less breaking free.
Virgil’s breathing grew weaker, his struggle fading along with it.
Ethan bit his teeth and glanced at the nearby Ava, saying, “Miss Ava, wait here for me. Don’t go anywhere.”
Ava nodded anxiously, “Alright, hurry and save Virgil…”
Ethan wasted no time, his foot shaking the ground, and he appeared in front of the mysterious creature in an instant.
At such close range, the terror intensified.
Even Ethan felt his heart pounding in fear while looking at the creature.
At this point, any delay could cost Virgil his life, so Ethan couldn’t afford to hesitate. He channeled his divine power and threw a powerful punch at the mysterious creature.
Ethan’s strength was immense, and the oppressive aura had no effect on him.
Under his punch, the mysterious creature cried out in pain and retreated several steps, its grip on Virgil loosening involuntarily.
Ethan picked up Virgil with one hand and coldly scolded, “You idiot, what were you trying to prove?”
Virgil scrambled up from the ground, panicked, “Where is Miss Ava?”
Ethan furrowed his brow, “Go back and take care of Ava. Leave these creatures to me.”
With that, Ethan turned to the creatures in front of him.
Their pupils were dull, without emotion, as if they saw through everything.
Ethan had never seen such creatures before, and their mysterious aura filled him with wariness.
Mobilizing all his divine power, Ethan’s fists became like the War God’s.
“Whoosh!”
Then, the mysterious creature reached out its claw to grab Ethan!
Ethan snorted coldly. Close combat was his specialty!
“Miss Ava, are you alright…” Virgil anxiously asked.
However, Ava asked worriedly, “Where is Ethan?!”
Virgil’s mouth opened, then whispered, “That creature is far too terrifying, as if it doesn’t belong to this world. Ethan… most likely won’t survive.”
Upon hearing this, Ava’s face turned pale.
She grabbed Virgil, “You… go save Ethan, he went to fight for your sake, go save him!”
Virgil gritted his teeth, “Even if I go, I can’t help. I’ll only lose another life for nothing. At most, I’ll just give Ethan a grand funeral.”
At his words, Ava slapped Virgil’s face.
She glared angrily at Virgil, “You cowardly, selfish man! If you won’t go, I will!”
With that, Ava strode forward without any hesitation, even though she could hardly see everything in front of her.
Virgil bit his teeth and quickly caught up with Ava.
But just then, a giant figure blocked their path.
The thick fog obscured their faces and bodies.
Even with the figure right in front of them, they couldn’t see through the fog.
“Not good!” Virgil’s face changed, and he hurriedly stepped in front of Ava.
At that moment, the enormous figure crashed to the ground, causing a thunderous noise.
