Chapter 1330 -1330: Give Me Some Face_1
Ava didn’t hide anything and nodded with a smile, “That’s what Mr. Duncan said.”
“A mere cripple,” Philbert Duncan sneered.
Ava wasn’t offended and only smiled, “I heard that Mr. Duncan is in Sunilope City to find someone?”
Hearing this, Philbert Duncan’s face instantly turned several degrees colder.
A murderous spirit rushed straight towards Ava.
“What? Are you here to plead for Ethan Smith?” Duncan said coldly.
Ava laughed, “Mr. Duncan is joking, I don’t have that kind of qualification.”
“You should know your place.” Duncan spoke coldly.
However, Ava changed the subject at this point, “I hope Mr. Duncan wouldn’t indiscriminately kill the innocent. I believe that Ethan Smith will definitely come to see you, and it won’t take long.”
Duncan’s face grew even more gloomy.
He didn’t answer that, but instead stood up and said, “You know where Ethan Smith is, right?”
“Yes.” Ava didn’t hide it.
Duncan said coldly, “Then take me to see him, or I’ll kill you right now.”
“Mr. Duncan, I’m sorry, but I can’t take you to see him just yet,” Ava shook her head.
“I think you’re looking for death!” Duncan suddenly reached out to grab Ava’s snow-white neck.
But at this moment, Ava gently raised her hand and met Duncan’s palm head on.
“Boom!”
In a short, explosive noise, the two of them were just testing each other.
However, after this confrontation, Duncan felt a throbbing pain in his wrist.
That powerful force, even Duncan could not help but feel a sense of unease.
The follower beside him hurriedly ran to Duncan’s side.
“No wonder you dared to confront me,” Duncan said coldly.
“It seems your strength has recovered.”
Ava didn’t say a word but smiled.
Duncan frowned, thinking quickly in his head.
“So when can I see Ethan Smith?” Duncan asked coldly.
Ava was thrilled inwardly, but her expression remained calm.
She made a simple calculation and said, “Three to five days.”
“No more than three days,” Duncan said coldly.
“If I don’t see Ethan Smith after three days, I won’t give anyone face.”
Ava remained silent for a moment, knowing that this was Duncan’s bottom line and that further arguing would be pointless.
So, she nodded and said, “Alright, then let it be three days. Thank you, Mr. Duncan.”
Then Ava got up and left the teahouse.
Duncan’s eyes never left Ava as she departed.
The murderous intent in his gaze was as chilling as the winter months.
Only when Ava had left did the follower beside Duncan frown and say, “Mr. Duncan, why are you giving her face?”
Duncan snorted coldly, “I’m not afraid of her. I am just worried that if we start fighting, we’ll both be injured, and by that time, it might be difficult to deal with Ethan Smith.”
The follower said solemnly, “Leave Ava to me.”
Duncan glanced at him and said coldly, “You may not be her match.”
Upon hearing this, the follower’s stunned expression appeared on his face.
“You’re too polite, Mr. Smith. If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have been able to recover my spiritual power,” Ava said.
Despite saying that, Ethan knew that Ava didn’t owe anyone anything for this matter.
The two were partners, and since they were working together, they should take equal responsibility, regardless of owing favors or not. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
“Let’s go,” Ethan said, standing up.
The group left the Burton Family house, and as they departed, Roger Gibbs handed Ethan a map to give to Simona.
According to Roger Gibbs, this map was of the western mountains and could be sold for a good price at the auction.
The three of them found an inn to stay in temporarily.
“Mr. Smith, is three days enough?” Ava asked.
Ethan looked at his palm and said, “I don’t know.”
At this point, the palm was wrapped in bandages once more. To speed up the recovery, Ethan had used many herbs.
“Ethan, you don’t even have spiritual power in your body. Are you a match for Duncan?” Virgil, who was beside him, couldn’t help but ask.
Ethan sneered, “I’ve fought him once, and this time I will definitely kill him!”
This new right fist possessed unimaginable power.
As long as the injuries were healed, Ethan had full confidence.
“Mr. Smith, do you need my help?” Ava asked.
Ethan quickly waved his hand, “No need, you’ve already helped me a lot.”
“Sigh, I originally wanted to negotiate for five days’ time, but unfortunately, it was refused,” Ava sighed slightly.
Ethan bowed his hands and said, “Three days is enough. Thank you, Miss Ava.”
“I won’t disturb your rest. If you need anything, just call me,” Ava said.
With that, she and Virgil left the room.
