Diana’s POV

I gasped loudly as my body reacted before my mind could catch up.

My walls clenched around him immediately‚ as heat flooded my face. We had crossed a line that could never be undone.

He stilled‚ his finger remaining buried inside me as if he needed the pause as much as I did.

“Can I?” he asked roughly‚ his dark eyes locking onto mine‚ stripped of its usual control.

“Can you what?” I whispered‚ even though I already knew. My heart pounded loudly in my ears‚ the room thick with tension‚ with everything we were refusing to name. I needed him to say it out loud‚ needed him to own it.

“Check your vaginal response?” he said at last.

The words sounded clinical‚ but we both knew the truth‚ it was nothing but a thin excuse. His body tensee‚ waiting for my response.

The silence crashed down on me.
