My CEO HUSBAND sign the divorce novel Chapter 36

Chapter 36: Recalling Tragedies

Once confirmed, the police immediately began searching for the suspect.

After the student was arrested, the police informed me, and Maria went to the station to handle the matter.

At first, the student denied sending the package.

But being young and inexperienced, she was quickly exposed by the experienced officers and eventually confessed.

She admitted she did it because she was a die-hard fan of Isabella and couldn’t stand seeing her "bullied" under my management.

I asked a lawyer from the company’s legal department to handle the matter.

After Maria returned from the police station, I asked,

"Did she say how she found out where I live?"

"It seems her father works as a cleaner in this neighborhood."

"Inform the security company and have him reassigned," I said.

Having him remain here could become a potential safety risk.

"Alright. I’ll talk to the security company."

After Maria left, I sat alone in the quiet room.

A chilling thought suddenly crossed my mind.

What if the package had contained something far more dangerous?

Something that could hurt me...

Then, when I was seventeen, the accident happened.

My dad was driving me to the library on his way to work when another car suddenly crashed into us. In that moment, my dad used his body to shield me.

He died instantly.

The other driver escaped, and the car wasn’t registered. Grandma ordered a thorough investigation, but nothing was ever found. The only lead was that my dad had been investigating several government officials and companies involved in corruption.

Eventually, the investigation was abandoned due to lack of progress.

That was when Grandma took me in, and over time we found comfort in each other.

When I first moved into the Blackwood mansion, I never imagined that one day I would become Alexander’s wife.

Yet here we are—two years into a marriage that is now about to end in divorce. And the only thing I crave for is that simple life full of love and caring.
