My Child and I Married a Billionaire novel Chapter 121

Chapter 121: Chapter 121: Take This and Buy a Coffin

Doris Morton took one look. ’She’s bleeding? Is she having a miscarriage? Perfect!’

’Evil gets its just deserts. This is heaven’s retribution for her!’

’Call 911? In her dreams! I wish this bastard child would never be born!’

Without another word, she grabbed Cecelia Archer’s hand and started to leave.

"Let’s go, don’t worry about them! They deserve it!"

As she spoke, the two of them pushed through the crowd and ran for the exit.

When Mr. Morton saw the two of them run off, he didn’t even have time to tend to the woman on the ground and hurriedly chased after them.

"You think you can just hit someone and walk away? In your dreams! Doris Morton, you stop right there!"

"You heartless girl! I’ve been completely humiliated by you today! Are you trying to piss me off to death?!"

Doris Morton ran as if her feet had wings, ignoring her father’s words completely. She pulled Cecelia Archer along and darted to the mall entrance in a flash.

The driver saw the Young Madam emerge and hurried over to greet her.

Before he could reach them, a tall man came up from behind and grabbed them.

"Are you deaf? Didn’t you hear me calling you? You think you can just hit someone and leave? Not a chance! Take her to the hospital, or I’m not done with you two!"

Doris Morton was so disgusted by this scumbag of a father that she felt sick. She looked at him with a cold sneer.

"You’re really going to turn on your own daughter for a mistress? Fine! I’d like to see how you’re ’not done’ with me! I’m not helping her. If you’ve got the guts, call the police and have me arrested!"

"Don’t think I won’t!" Mr. Morton glanced at her, then shot a vicious look at Cecelia Archer.

"She’s the one who hit her. I won’t go after you, I’ll go after her! If she doesn’t get treated and the baby isn’t saved today, I’ll absolutely call the police and make her pay the price!"

Seeing that things were getting serious, the driver quickly called Damien Vaughn.

"Sir, it’s bad. The Young Madam is in trouble."

When Damien Vaughn arrived at the mall entrance, a huge crowd had gathered.

In the middle of the crowd, a tall man was grabbing Cecelia Archer with one hand and Doris Morton with the other. He was half-sprawled on the ground, yelling at them and clearly refusing to let go.

Damien Vaughn frowned and walked into the crowd, prying Cecelia Archer’s hand from the man’s grip.

"Let her go. Cecelia, what happened?"

Cecelia Archer was surprised by his sudden appearance. "What are you doing here?"

"Never mind how I got here. I asked you what happened. Who is this man? Why is he grabbing you? Why didn’t you call the police?"

Cecelia Archer briefly explained the situation to him. Damien Vaughn frowned, but before he could condemn the scumbag father, a bystander screamed and came forward with news.

"Stop fighting, stop fighting! Hurry up and go check on that woman! She’s lost too much blood. If you keep this up, someone’s going to die!"

Damien Vaughn took charge and had the woman sent to the hospital.

Due to the long delay and the early stage of the pregnancy, the fetus could not be saved.

Mr. Morton dropped to his knees in the hospital corridor with a THUD and started to cry.

"This is a sin, a terrible sin! The son I’ve waited half my life for, he was just starting to take shape, and you beat him out of existence! What a sin! Doris Morton, are you happy now? You’re deliberately trying to kill your old man!"

At this point, Doris Morton couldn’t even be bothered to spare the scumbag a glance, watching him coldly.

"Since you’re so desperate to have a son, why don’t you divorce my mom and go have sons with her."

"And you called me a beast? You’re worse than a beast! What the hell is a man your age doing, pulling this kind of crap!"

Doris Morton was so angry she was about to rush over and hit her father, but Cecelia Archer pulled her aside.

"At this point, hitting him is useless. Don’t be angry. You need to take care of yourself. After all, your mother is still waiting for you to look after her."

Doris Morton fell into her arms, sobbing uncontrollably.

"Cecelia, what do I do now? Tell me, what else can I possibly do?"

Cecelia Archer had never encountered anything like this and didn’t know what to do either. She instinctively looked toward Damien Vaughn.

Damien Vaughn’s expression was unreadable. "I’ll handle things here. You take her to a hotel to rest. I’ll call you when she’s settled."

Staying here would only upset Doris Morton further and serve no other purpose, so Cecelia Archer had to accept Damien Vaughn’s suggestion.

"I’m sorry. Thank you for this."

The driver took them to a hotel. Back at the hospital, Damien Vaughn paid the medical bills and transferred 200,000 to Mr. Morton.

"This 200,000 isn’t hush money because Cecelia hit someone and I’m afraid of trouble. This is on account of your daughter being Cecelia’s friend. It’s for you to buy a coffin. If you know what’s good for you, you’ll take the money and stay far away from them from now on. If you dare to be otherwise..."

Mr. Morton, now aware of Damien Vaughn’s identity, wouldn’t dare to cross him. He meekly accepted the money.

As Damien Vaughn walked out of the hospital, he gave an order to Ryan.

"Go to Doris Morton’s hometown and take care of the mortgage on the house and car for her."

Ryan: "Understood. It’s probably a considerable sum. As for the bill, should we..."

Damien Vaughn gave him a card. "Use my personal account."
