Chapter 392: Chapter 392: It Couldn’t Be to Spite Me

Her sudden departure had left the crowd of young men around her disappointed.

Now that she was back, they swarmed her like a pack of wolves, howling with excitement.

She alone had cranked the dance floor’s energy to its peak. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

Cecelia Archer stared, dumbfounded, at the scene and then back at Brandon Jacobs, utterly confused by what was going on.

She exchanged a look with Damien Vaughn, who seemed just as speechless.

’He knew Brandon Jacobs hadn’t moved on from Elsa’s death, but did he really have to drag himself through the mud like this?’

He took Cecelia Archer’s hand and stood up, his expression cold.

"Brandon Jacobs, come to my office. I need to talk to you."

Brandon Jacobs seemed to know what was coming and didn’t move.

"We’re all friends here. Is there something you can’t say in front of them?"

"It’s precisely because we’re all friends that I don’t want to make everyone uncomfortable. Come upstairs with me."

Maybe it was Damien Vaughn’s commanding presence, or maybe Brandon Jacobs was actually willing to listen, but after a two-second pause, he got up and followed.

Zeke Walton watched them, perplexed.

"What’s going on with them? So mysterious. Jacobs’ fiancée... she’s gorgeous, sure, but she’s a bit much... Aren’t his parents super traditional? How could they ever accept a daughter-in-law like that?"

"Lunatics! They’re all fucking lunatics!"

Wyatt Wynn ignored him, suddenly slamming his glass onto the coffee table and standing up in a rage.

"Are you leaving or not? I’m out of here!"

’Everyone else is gone. What’s the point of me staying here alone?’

He’d come out to have a good time, but things just kept getting more frustrating. Zeke Walton decided to get up and leave too.

The two of them got into their separate cars. After watching Zeke Walton speed away from the club’s entrance, Wyatt Wynn turned around and jumped back out of his.

His face was grim. He pushed through the crowd, heading straight for the dance floor.

Faye Fisher was dancing her heart out when she suddenly felt a strong hand grip her waist. Startled, she immediately tried to push it away.

But the face she saw was Wyatt Wynn’s. "What are you doing?"

"Come with me!"

Faye Fisher was still scared. She instinctively glanced toward the sofa, only to see that everyone was gone.

"What do you want?"

"If you won’t walk, do you expect me to carry you?"

Faye Fisher knew his temper. Afraid of being seen, she had no choice but to follow him.

Outside the club, Wyatt Wynn pulled open the car door with a dark expression, waiting for her to get in. Faye Fisher didn’t move.

She casually crossed her arms and smirked at him.

"I belong to your friend now. It wouldn’t look good if he saw me getting into your car, would it?"

Wyatt Wynn gritted his teeth. "You know me? You still remember me? You know Brandon Jacobs is my friend? And you still got with him! Faye Fisher, are you out of your goddamn mind? Get in the car!"

Faye Fisher just stood there watching him, pointedly refusing to get in.

Wyatt Wynn locked eyes with her for a moment, then slammed the car door shut and walked toward her.

"I’m not afraid of being seen. Jacobs probably doesn’t know about our past, and I’ll have to tell him sooner or later anyway. Since you’re not scared either, let’s just talk right here."

When he got aggressive and played hardball, Faye Fisher was clearly intimidated.

Her eyes flickered. Gritting her back teeth, she shoved Wyatt Wynn aside and resentfully got into the car.
