My Child and I Married a Billionaire novel Chapter 67

Chapter 67: Chapter 67: Apologize to Her

The whole group stormed toward room 6602.

Inside the hospital room, the two kids were hugging Mrs. Kane’s legs, while Mrs. Kane had Cecelia Archer by the collar, relentlessly demanding an explanation.

Mr. Kane was the first to burst in. Seeing his wife causing such a scene with his former student, he lost his usual refined demeanor for the first time.

"Sophia West, who told you to come here? What are you doing?"

Hearing her husband’s voice, Mrs. Kane finally stopped, instantly redirecting her anger toward Mr. Kane.

She let go of Cecelia Archer, forcefully shoved the two children aside, and stormed toward Mr. Kane, raising her hand to slap him.

Fortunately, Damien Vaughn, who was standing nearby, anticipated her move and caught her by the wrist.

Mrs. Kane gritted her teeth. "So you heard I was hitting her this quickly? Rushing over to be the hero? Silas Kane, you really are a ’good man,’ aren’t you!"

"If I hadn’t come today, how long were you planning to hide like a coward? Until your son grows up and gets married? Until I die? You’re so capable, having someone bear your children but not daring to make it public. What’s that about? Afraid I’ll expose you and you’ll lose your job and your precious reputation?"

"You’re old enough to be her father, yet you still do something this sordid! A man as shameless as you is still afraid of losing face?"

"It just so happens everyone is here today. All of Kane’s students and colleagues, right? Come on! Everyone, take a look! Look at this woman and these children!"

She forcefully wrenched her hand free from Damien Vaughn’s grasp and pointed excitedly at Cecelia Archer and the two children.

"This is Kane’s little mistress and his children! This shameless man went behind my back, behind everyone’s back, and raised a second family on the side! Everyone, come and see!"

Not only did the group from the conference room rush over, but even the nurses from the nurses’ station came to see what was happening.

The moment Mrs. Kane’s words fell, the crowd erupted in discussion.

"What? So the child is hers and that man’s? I thought... Incredible. She has a whole group of handsome men fawning over her, young and old. It’s unreal!"

"I can’t even tell which one is her man. Why are so many men obsessed with her? I’m so jealous!"

"What’s there to be jealous of? He already has a wife, and she’s still eager to bear his children. If you were that shameless, you wouldn’t be short on men either."

Director Hill had known Mr. Kane for half his life and had never heard of something so scandalous happening to him.

Seeing his wife’s confident accusations, Director Hill was also stunned.

"Kane, you..."

It was all so absurd. Mr. Kane was so angry his hair was practically standing on end.

He had spent half his life teaching students, healing the sick, and saving lives. He had always lived an upright and honest life, doing his duty conscientiously. He never imagined that his lifelong reputation would be ruined by his own wife!

"Sophia West, have you lost your mind? Do you have any idea what you’re saying?"

Mrs. Kane sneered. "Of course I do! How could I have cornered you wretched pair so perfectly without concrete evidence?"

As she spoke, she pulled out a DNA test report and threw it in front of Director Hill.

"Look what your good friend has been up to! It’s written in black and white. Are you still going to deny it in front of everyone?"

Director Hill’s hands trembled, but before he could grab the report, Mr. Kane snatched it away.

A quick glance was all it took. "What the hell is this? A test you had done on me? And it was a match? This is ridiculous!"

He slapped the report into Director Hill’s hands and looked grimly at Cecelia Archer.

"Cecelia Archer, why are you here? What is your relationship to these two children? Tell me what’s going on!"

By now, Cecelia Archer understood everything.
