Chapter 323 The Bad Blood

York's voice was only audible to himself and Colin.

Leaning against the seat, Colin said calmly with the spoon still in his hand, "You have to tell the person mentioned."

York caught on to it in a jiffy. He nodded and walked towards Tiffany.

Tiffany had actually watched York closely when he just went downstairs.

Seeing him coming up behind her at this moment, Tiffany pretended to smile amiably and asked, "What's the matter, York?"

York opened his mouth without turning a hair, "Mrs. Farrell, Old Mr. Farrell would like to have a talk with you."

Tiffany's hand that was taking a toast out of the toasting slots hovered as she asked, "Me?"

York uttered, "Yes."

Tiffany got the food prepared and handed it to Helen. She then turned around and looked at York, pretending to show her concern by asking, "Is he all right today?"

York said, "He looks good."

Tiffany smiled and said, "Great."

With that, Tiffany stepped upstairs.

York was at her heels expressionlessly like a robot.

Tiffany and York went upstairs one after the other.

When reaching Old Mr. Farrell's room, York pushed open the door, motioning to Tiffany to enter.

Tiffany walked in without deliberation.

Upon entering, a gust of cold wind hit her, which made her shudder.

Tiffany looked up, only to find that all the windows in the bedroom were open. At the moment, Old Mr. Farrell was leaning against the headboard and boring into her.

"Dad."

Tiffany sensed something amiss, but she still greeted Old Mr. Farrell respectfully as usual.

"Mmm," uttered Old Mr. Farrell, sounding feeble.

Tiffany closed the windows and stated, "It's so cold today. Why did you open all the windows? You have been under the weather recently. If you catch a cold..."

As Tiffany was murmuring, Old Mr. Farrell's cloudy eyes welled up with tears.

Seeing that, Tiffany didn't finish her words but smilingly asked with concern, "Dad, what's the matter with you?"

Old Mr. Farrell said, "Get the water on the nightstand for me."

After quite a while, Old Mr. Farrell said in a trembling voice, "All these years, I have always turned a blind eye to what you've done. I thought you would be moved, but I didn't expect to end up like this."

Tiffany remained silent, but there was a touch of mockery in her eyes.

Old Mr. Farrell continued, "When Colin was in senior high school, you were worried that he would threaten Hank's status in our family. As a result, you hired people to murder him. You have kept men outside and planted your men inside the headquarters of Farrell Media. Do you think I'm none the wiser all the while?"

As Old Mr. Farrell became more and more emotional, Tiffany chuckled and asked, "Since you are well aware of all these things, why did you never stop me?"

In the face of Tiffany's questions, Old Mr. Farrell lost his tongue.

Tiffany looked at him and mocked, "Is that because you still have a bit of conscience? Because you used the money that your buddy earned at the risk of his life, you think you are supposed to make it up to his daughter?"

Old Mr. Farrell was wordless.

Tiffany dissolved into laughter mockingly. There was no telling whether she was laughing at Old Mr. Farrell or at herself. She then added, "I never thought I would have thrown in my lot with my enemy. What a mockery!"

Old Mr. Farrell explained, "That's not what you thought."

Tiffany stated, "Then what is that? Back then, you and my dad were good buddies. You guys invested in the project together, but there was something wrong with it. You got yourself out of it the day before. In the end, it was my dad who bore all the blame and was put into prison. Later, he was killed in the prison. Dare you say that you had nothing to do with it?"

As what had happened back then was brought up, a flash of panic flashed across Old Mr. Farrell's face. "Your dad volunteered to take the blame and go to prison," said he.

Tiffany broke into a sinister smile and uttered, "That was because you had promised him that you would take care of the company and his wife and children, but did you walk the talk?"
