Chapter 522 Poor People Have Their Sins
Hearing his words, Martha pursed her lips.
Blaine looked at her for a moment, pushed the card back to her, and said, "Leave Cocanel with the money. Never come back."
Before coming here, Martha had had a lot of things to say to him.
There were questions, blame, and confessions of her feelings.
But now, she suddenly found that she couldn't say anything except for "I want an answer".
Blaine was right. She had spent so many years in the nunnery in vain.
Seeing her keep silent without accepting the bank card, he forced a wry smile and said, "Martha, why bother?"
She suddenly smiled, "Yeah, why bother?"
Then, she took a shallow breath and said, "Do you need me to collect your corpse?"
When Blaine heard this, his handcuffed hands shook.
Martha saw his reaction, but she pretended not to see and smiled, "If you need my help, I'll leave Cocanel a few days later."
Blaine felt dry in his throat when saying, "No, thanks."
Martha asked, "Will anyone collect your corpse?"
Blaine fell silent.
Would anyone collect his corpse?
Probably not.
Colin had a deep hatred for him, so he would not do it for him. As for Hank and Helen, they had always been closer to Tiffany. Since he had killed her, they would not do it for him either.
Seeing him keep silent, Martha knew the answer, so she said, "I'll wait for a few more days."
Blaine looked at her with a long face.
Meeting his eyes, Martha looked down at the interrogation table and said, "At our age, we won't talk about love anymore. Otherwise, the kids would laugh at us."
Blaine took a deep breath but didn't reply.
Martha continued, "I had hated you for years. And I wished to drink your blood and eat your flesh."
Blaine stared blankly at her muttering to herself and suddenly felt sad as if an invisible hand was squeezing his heart.
She added, "But the moment I heard that you were sentenced to death for murder, I suddenly stopped hating you."
Faye nodded, "OK."
Then, she turned around to say goodbye to Ethan's assistant and left with Martha.
On the way back to the hotel, Martha said, "Can I stay here for two more days? I want to collect Blaine's corpse."
Faye held the steering wheel and said expressionlessly, "Don't leave the hotel. I'll let my people watch you."
Martha said, "Thank you."
Faye didn't reply.
An hour and a half later, they arrived at the hotel. Faye opened the door for her without getting out of the car.
When Martha put her hand on the handle to get out of the car, she suddenly turned her head to look at Faye and said, "Faye."
Faye turned her head back and asked, "Yes?"
Martha asked, "How has Colin been all these years?"
Faye retracted her gaze, looked out of the windshield, and said, "Old Mr. Farrell treated him as a slave. Tiffany had tried many ways to kill him because of you. Hank kept fighting him openly and secretly. Blaine ignored him because he only cared about his lovers. He had been in a one-sided love with me for eleven years, but I thought of him as a playboy and had never given him the slightest response..."
Then, she showed a mocking smile and said, "Do you think he has been well?"
