Chapter 575 I'm Just Not Stupid

Hearing Faye's words, Gunner looked terrible.

After a few seconds, Gunner said through his teeth, "What play do you mean? Do rich people all have persecution paranoia?"

Gunner gritted his teeth with an innocent face, which could easily fool a kind man.

Gunner lay on the ground, keeping shouting.

Andy looked at Faye and asked with a frown, "Mrs. Farrell, do you want him to shut up?"

Faye said, "He's quite noisy."

Andy nodded, took a handkerchief out of his pocket, and poked it into Gunner's mouth.

He grabbed Gunner's collar and took him to the wall. "Mrs. Farrell, where did you get the ropes?" he asked in puzzlement.

Faye said indifferently, "There are ties in his suitcase."

Before Andy could speak, Lance volunteered. "Where is his suitcase? I'll get it."

Faye said, "The next room. Turn right when you go out."

Lance made the OK sign with his fingers and left away.

Gunner, who was pressed in the corner, watched Lance leave with a look of disbelief on his face, thinking, "He wants to tie me with my tie! How can they do this to me?"

After a short while, Lance came back with a few knotted ties in his hand, muttering, "Why did this guy put so many ties in his suitcase?"

Lance stretched the ties. "They are all nice ties. The quality is good."

Lance said and handed the ties to Andy.

Andy took them and tied up Gunner quite tightly. Because Andy exercised a lot, Gunner whined loudly in pain, swearing.

A few minutes later, the room returned to silence. Gunner was exhausted, leaning against the corner, and glared at Faye with resentment.

Faye walked back to the sofa again and handed the empty coffee cup to Lance. "Pour me another cup of coffee."

Lance took it and chuckled. "You can't get back to sleep, can you?"

Faye rubbed the forehead. "Mmm."

The hotel room was well-equipped. After a while, Lance brought a cup of coffee to Faye.

Faye took a sip of it and leaned back on the sofa, looking at the three men on the ground, and thinking about what to do about them.

Lance sat down on the armrest of the sofa beside her and asked curiously, "Faye, who is that man?"

Faye said, "Gunner, Maxwell's man."

Hearing that, Lance touched his nose, feeling humiliated.

The person who was humiliated was not only Lance but also Gunner, who was leaning against the wall.

The anger in Gunner's eyes dissipated, and he goggled at Faye.

Having noticed Gunner's gaze, Faye looked sideways at him and said slowly, "Is there anything else you want to say?"

Gunner whined and bobbed his head.

Lance was amused by Gunner's appearance and said, "Faye, do you allow him to speak?"

Faye didn't answer, raising her chin.

Lance stood up from the sofa, strode over to Gunner, and patted his face, warning, "You'd better say something useful, or..."

Lance didn't finish his words, but the fierce look in his eyes was noticeable.

Gunner looked at Lance, swearing in his heart, but his face was full of obedient smiles.

Looking at Gunner's smile, Lance raised his eyebrows and took out his handkerchief.

Gunner moved his sore jaw and looked at Faye. "I admit that I hired these two men, but it was Maxwell who sent me to protect you. You can call Maxwell if you don't believe me!"
