117 Chapter 117 Blood as Weapon
Elena’s POV
“Impressive. Spoken like a true warrior. Tell me something though – if I eliminate your master, do the rest of you creatures simply cease to exist?” I questioned the bound figure before me. Its eyes met mine briefly before darting away, unable to hold my
gaze.
“I believe that reaction just provided our answer,” Damien observed from behind me.
“Indeed it did,” I agreed, studying the creature’s obvious discomfort.
“How exactly do we locate this master of yours?” Damien pressed, stepping closer to our captive. But the thing had retreated into stubborn silence, refusing to acknowledge our questions. It had realized we had no intention of keeping it breathing much longer.
The creature had foolishly believed I might be its ticket to freedom rather than the
architect of its destruction.
“Doesn’t matter in the end. Its master will seek me out eventually,” I declared, rising to my feet with purpose.
“You will never defeat master. He possesses too much power. You possess nothing,” the creature hissed, the words flowing like a rehearsed prayer. These phrases had likely been hammered into its consciousness since birth.
“We shall discover the truth of that soon enough,” I replied coolly, turning my back on the pathetic thing and heading for the stairs.
Damien matched my pace, securing the door behind us with a decisive click.
We made our way to the kitchen where I prepared two steaming cups of coffee while Damien positioned himself against the counter, his intense stare boring into me.
“Don’t even begin,” I warned him sharply.
“What you accomplished down there was monumentally reckless. Do you comprehend how catastrophically wrong that situation could have turned?” His voice carried a dangerous edge.
“Except it didn’t go wrong. I maintained complete control throughout. Show me some

damn respect for my capabilities,” I shot back, my frustration mounting.
“I cannot do that when you execute these solo missions without consultation,” he countered firmly.
“I obtained the information we desperately needed,” I stated matter–of–factly.
“And what precisely did this interrogation reveal?” he demanded.
I exhaled heavily, my patience wearing thin with his accusatory tone.
“My blood functions as a weakness amplifier against them. Once weakened, we can inflict lasting damage without their supernatural healing abilities activating,” I
explained.
“So you allowed that abomination to feed from your veins?” His voice escalated to a
shout.
“Absolutely not. I utilized a syringe to inject my blood directly into its neck tissue. The method proved effective. The creature experienced agonizing pain for hours, leaving it completely vulnerable. When the suffering subsided, I tested my claws against its skin and discovered the wounds remained unhealed. That becomes our weapon – creating synthetic versions of my blood and praying the artificial compound maintains its potency,” I detailed.
“Are you genuinely convinced this approach has merit?” he questioned skeptically.
“It represents our only viable option. I don’t observe anyone else developing strategies that don’t involve trading me to this master like the pack leadership is undoubtedly already scheming,” I exploded.
A sound from the kitchen entrance caught my attention, and I turned to find Marcus standing in the doorway. Damien released a warning growl, but Marcus remained unmoved by the threat,
“This is complete insanity. We refuse to use you or your blood as bait for these monsters,” Damien declared before storming from the room.
I remained frozen in place, overwhelmed by frustration and dwindling options as Marcus entered the kitchen and poured himself coffee.
“I have zero interest in hearing your perspective,” I said without meeting his gaze. “He has no right to address you with such disrespect,” Marcus observed quietly.

“As if you possess any authority on proper mate treatment. At least he attempts to protect me. Your specialty was always manipulation and control,” I retorted.
