27 Chapter 27 Alpha Fairfax Mystery

Elena’s POV 1

I bet you had no idea. You never mentioned being a white wolf to me.”

Nobody knows about it. Mom only found out last night.” I replied.

The warriors have received orders to stay silent. We cannot afford additional attacks on this pack simply because outsiders discover we house a white wolfAlpha Marcus stated.

Do whatever you think is best.I said, my eyes rolling skyward.

He wasn’t protecting me. His only concern was preventing more attacks on his precious pack.

His phone buzzed insistently, and when he glanced at the screen, he dismissed it and returned his attention to me. The device rang again immediately.

Despite his repeated attempts to ignore the calls, the ringing persisted relentlessly. The constant noise was grating on my already frayed nerves.

Just answer your little mistress. That seems to be the only way to make her stop harassing you.” I snapped with venom.

Alpha Marcus stepped outside the room to handle the call. Shortly after, he returned and settled into the chair positioned against the wall.

Why are you still lingering here?I demanded.

I have no idea.He answered.

You have a girlfriend waiting at home. Just leave already.” I said.

She has been waiting for me throughout the night. A little longer won’t kill her.” He replied casually.

What exactly are you not comprehending? What part of this situation confuses you? Get the hell out of my sight.” I said.

Watch your tone.He warned.

I want you nowhere in my vicinity. Leave now and stop tormenting me. I refuse to participate in this twisted game of yours any longer.” I screamed.

Alpha Marcus rose slowly from his seat and approached me, leaning over my hospital bed with intimidating proximity.

Remember your place, little one. I remain your Alpha and I still expect proper respect.” He snarled through clenched teeth.

If punishment is what you have planned, then execute it. Stop with the empty threats and take action. I have stopped caring about the consequences. I declared.

He remained hovering above me, his expression gradually softening as he studied my face. The raw desperation in my eyes pleaded for him to either discipline me or abandon me entirely. He recognized the sincerity behind my words.

Tara began whimpering inside my mind. She craved his presence and companionship. While she feared his potential for causing us pain, she equally dreaded separation from him and his wolf.

Marcus straightened his posture and exited the room without uttering another syllable.

Once I confirmed his departure, I managed to climb out of the hospital bed and retrieved the clothing my mother had delivered. I shuffled into the bathroom to change.

After dressing, I approached the door and peered through the window cautiously. No sign of Jett or any other guards stationed by the Alpha’s orders were visible in the immediate area.

I carefully opened the door and slipped out of the hospital undetected.

My feet carried me down the road toward the forest line where I could move without observation.

Upon reaching the trailer, I prepared coffee and settled on the bench with a cigarette between my fingers.

Scanning the view outside the window revealed no signs of surveillance or watchers, confirming that Jett remained unaware of my hospital escape.

I treated myself to a hot shower before changing into warmer clothing.

Fresh snow had fallen recently, and this decrepit trailer offered no heating system while featuring

s gaps and cracks that invited the cold inside.
