32 Chapter 32 Explosive Entrance
Elena’s POV 1
Victor pressed his full weight against me, using his size advantage to pin me down. When I managed to drive my knee upward between his legs, he barely flinched.
“That’s what I’m talking about. Fight me harder.” His laugh sent ice through my veins.
The sound of fabric tearing filled the small space as he ripped my shirt open. He leaned back just enough to fumble with his belt buckle, and I seized the moment to struggle harder. But he caught both my wrists in one massive hand, forcing them above my head.
“Let me go right now.” The words came out as a snarl, but I kept fighting beneath him.
“Keep struggling just like that. His breathing grew heavier.
The door exploded inward with a crash that shook the entire office. Victor’s weight disappeared as someone tackled him to the floor with brutal force.
I scrambled upright and saw Jett on top of him, his fists connecting with sickening thuds. Each punch landed with precision and rage. Jett showed no mercy, no hesitation. His knuckles split Victor’s lip, then his nose, then his cheekbone.
By the time Jett finally stopped, Victor lay motionless on the concrete floor. I had pressed myself against the far wall, watching the violence unfold.
“Are you hurt?” Jett turned toward me, his chest heaving.
“I’ll survive.” My voice came out steadier than I felt.
“What did he do to you?”
“Some bruises. Nothing that won’t heal.” I pulled the torn edges of my shirt together. Several pack warriors arrived within minutes. They hauled Victor’s unconscious form away without ceremony. Marcus appeared just as they reached the doorway.
“Take him to the packhouse dungeon. Not the town lockup.” Marcus’s voice carried absolute authority.
“Understood, Alpha.” One warrior nodded before they disappeared.
Marcus approached where I sat on the loading dock. His eyes took in my damaged

clothing and the bruises already forming on my arms. Jett stood nearby like at protective sentinel.
“How far did it go?” Marcus addressed Jett directly.
“Not far enough to cause permanent damage. She’ll recover.”
“Why would he try something like this?” Marcus’s attention shifted to me.
“How would I know? He’s been watching me strangely for weeks.” I shrugged, trying to appear unaffected.
“I can handle things from here, Jett. Marcus dismissed him with a nod.
Jett bowed his head respectfully before walking away, leaving us alone.
“Are you planning to interrogate me now? What was I supposed to do? He’s my supervisor. When he told me to come to his office, I went.” My voice carried more bite than intended.
“You’re not facing any consequences. This isn’t his first offense. Marcus’s tone remained even.
“Then why hasn’t he been arrested before?”
“Previous victims refused to testify. But this time a warrior witnessed the assault. I can imprison him without requiring a lengthy investigation.” His jaw tightened.
“Finally” I stood and started walking toward the exit.
Marcus caught my arm before I could leave. “Your back is bleeding again. When did you remove the stitches?”
“Mom took them out yesterday evening.”
“You’re coming with me.” His tone brooked no argument.
He drove me back to the packhouse and made a phone call as soon as we entered. Then he guided me to the spacious kitchen with its panoramic windows overlooking
the forest.
He poured coffee and handed me a mug. I leaned against the marble counter, gazing out at the wilderness stretching endlessly below the hill.
“I used to spend hours at that window seat, looking down at those trees.” Marcus moved to stand beside me.

“The view is incredible from this height. Why did you bring me here instead of somewhere else?”
