Chapter 208
Robert’s POV
Rage ignited in my chest as I watched her fumbling with that damn phone given to her by that pathetic Professor. I marched toward her with furious strides and yanked the device from her hand.
Julie trembled, her voice thick with panic. "I just wanted to justify the mistake with that video!"
"Why, Julie?" I asked, the veins in my neck bulging from the sheer force of my anger.
"Do you even know who he is?" she cried, reaching for the phone. "He’s a Professor! If he writes a report against me at the University, what am I supposed to do?"
"He can’t do shit," I snapped, my grip tightening on the phone until it groaned. "Because he’s the one who gave a student a secret phone, Julie. For fuck’s sake, what kind of professor does that?"
Right then, the phone vibrated in my palm. A message popped up: "Yes, let’s meet. To talk, walk, or maybe discuss your studies." I scrolled through the chat, my eyes burning.
He had sent her a photo of herself I wanted to end this bastard right now. He was telling her to call him "Edward," and Julie was complying like a naive little girl.
"Really, Julie?" I said, my voice dropping to a terrifying, mocking low. "He tells you to call him Edward, and you’re too stupid to see he’s hitting on you?"
Julie bristled. "What are you talking about? He’s a Professor! Do you even understand what that means?"
"It means you think he’s doing this out of the goodness of his heart?" I countered with a killing coldness.
"Yes, exactly!" she insisted.
"Fine." I kept my eyes on the screen and started typing with lethal precision: "Edward... yes, I want to meet you."
The bastard replied instantly: "That’s wonderful, Julie. When?"
I typed back with a demonic smirk: "Today."
Julie pressed against me, standing on her tiptoes to see the screen, her face pale with horror. "What are you writing to him? Are you insane?"
"I’m going to show you his true colors," I said, shunting her away with my other arm.
His reply came: "I’m so excited to see you."
I typed back with pure malice: "Edward... why do I feel like you see me as more than just your student?"
Julie gasped, her hand flying to her mouth. "Why would you write that?"
"Be patient and watch," I growled.
The confirmation of my suspicions arrived: "Did you really notice?"
I kept the game going: "Yes. Do you like me?"
Julie slammed her fist against my arm, shouting, "Are you trying to get me expelled?"
But the reply was fast and revealing: "So much... you make me forget I’m your professor. Damn it, Julie, I didn’t think you’d notice."
I turned to her, pinning her with a gaze that cut through her shock. "Do you see it now? Do you believe me?"
"I’m... I’m shocked," she whispered, backing away.
I typed the final message: "Come to the park near the University. I’ll be there in an hour."
He replied eagerly: "Alright, Julie."
"Why did you write that?" Julie asked, her voice shaking as she looked at my face which had become a mask of death.
"Because," I said, headed toward my clothes with a chilling indifference, "I’m going to kill him."
